Headcanons/stories behind each picture:
1st: Ashe is either an elf that resides in the same forest that Elderwood Hecarim protects. Drawn to the noise of battle, she investigates and finds the forest guardian the only one left standing among a band of humans that had either attempted to pillage the forest for their own gain or had attempted to destroy the guardian. Either way, it didn't end well for them. Being an elf and one with the forest that he protects, Elderwood Hecarim pays Ashe no mind and continues his patrol as if nothing had happened, leaving the corpses behind to become one with the forest as he has.
Alternative: Ashe is a rookie/a seasoned scout and was hired by a band of pillaging thugs/a merchant train to guide them through the forest, as she knows the ways the of the dryads, fae, and Elderwood and how to avoid their wrath. Unfortunately, her knowledge doesn't prove powerful and the band/caravan draws the ire of Elderwood Hecarim. It's a complete slaughter fest and Ashe barely escapes with her life as the forest guardian slices her comrades into ribbons. Being the sole survivor, Ashe is left to tell her tale of caution to other bandits and caravans that now might think twice of entering the forest, lest they incure the wrath of the Elderwood.
2nd: Against her better judgement, Poppy finds herself in Noxian territory on her quest to find the destined wielder of the hammer that she carries and one one such day, she finds herself overlooking a Noxian warcamp. Recognizing her allegiance to the Demacian empire, the head general orders her capture and she is forced to defend herself, defeating all that attempt to kill or capture her. The general, frustrated that someone so small could defeat all of his men so easily, pulls out his trump card and has Sion unleashed upon the intrepid Yordle. Completely dwarfed by the undead madman that looms over her, Poppy tightens her grip on Orlon's Hammer and prepares to face her enemy as Sion bellows a battlecry, more than ready to feel her tiny body crushed beneath his massive fists.
3rd: Jarvan and Shyvana meet for the first time . . . unfortunately, not under the best circumstances. Upon discovering a wounded Jarvan IV, Shyvana - against her draconic nature - takes him back to the cave where she and her father live in hiding from her murderous mother in order to heal and recuperate. A wise and caring dragon that understood the duality of his daughter's nature and protected her from his mate's wrath against his better judgement, he allowed the prince to stay so that his daughter might better understand herself. Over time, the two of them became close and Jarvan, despite his royal upbringing as future king of Demacia, grew to respect Shyvana's father for the love he showed his daughter - as well as the fact that, unlike the dragons he had been told about, he didn't go around razing villages for the fun of it and only took what he needed; within time, the prince recovered and upon regaining his full health, offered Shyvana a home in Demacia. Understanding that his daughter would have a better life there, her father encouraged her to go where she would be accepted and she reluctantly agreed. Unfortunately, before they could make it far, Jarvan and Shyvana were set upon by her mother and after a long and grueling battle, managed to barely drive her off - but not before Shyvana's father had perished at the flames of his once beloved mate in a desperate attempt to save the hatchling he would not allow die so prematurely. Heartbroken, Shyvana mourns the loss of one of the few beings to ever care about her and Jarvan stands by her side, comforting her while he plots a way to finally rid them and the world of the terrible evil that his her mother.
4th: A pair of ancient lovers long forgotten by the world, the Soulstealers are considered nothing more than fairy tales - stories to scare misbehaving children into obeying their elders. By a select few know the truth and tell hushed whispers of a sinister couple long forgotten by the sands of time that stalk the shadows of Runeterra in search of their prey. They say, in defiance of the Kindred themselves, that they steal away the souls of the dying and near-dead to transport them away to a horrible, awful realm of decay and undeath - the Shadow Isles. They say, despite their grim occupation, that the Soulstealers are a strangely, if not macabre loving couple that take joy in tormenting the souls they have so viciously collected. Though whether or not any of this is true, none can say . . .
5th: After a rough battle on Summoner's Rift, Olaf, Mordekaiser, and Karthus are congratulating one another on a job well done of destroying their enemies. Unfortunately, no-one gives Yorick the recognition he so rightfully deserves - he pushed his lane all the way up to the inhibitor turret, soloed the dragon multiple times while his teammates were preoccupied with increasing their KDA scores, and regularly risked his own hide to drive back the enemy forces so that his teammates could retreat to safety, even at the cost of his own life; but they don't care. To them, he's nothing more than a lowly top laner who comes like a dog when called. He didn't get the most kills and thus, he barely contributed to the team. In their minds, they carried him. And Yorick is fine with that . . . for the most part. After being isolated on the Shadow Isles with nothing but the undead spirits and ghouls for company, he's use to being an outcast, but a small part of him wishes that once, just once, that his teammates might give a single "thank you" for all the tireless work that he does. And while the majority of them will never show their gratitude, there are those select few who show him just how much they appreciate him where others don't . . .
Alternative: Sparked on by a fan-letter questioning whether or not any of them are dating Sona - after all, she's the only girl in a band with four men, she's gotta be with someone, right? - Mordekaiser, Karthus, and Olaf each try to convince the others that Sona is attracted to them by showing off their manilessness and epicness and . . . metalness? Either way, it doesn't go as planned and she is largely unimpressed by their efforts to woo her and prove to the others that they are the most metal man in their band. But if none of them are the object of Sona's affections . . . then who is? Perhaps the only member of the band who didn't try to impress her out of the belief that he had nothing to offer? Nah, that can't be right . . . could it?
