aaand this is one of many glaring reasons I packed up my tools in a box and left them in nowheresville. F**k trying to compete with guys like this for a career as an artist. I'd rather be dead.

If one is trying to make a career out of it, presumably in the same area (comics), then it becomes a competition. In the same sense that everyone else in the same field of work as another is their competitor
