"whoa whoa whoa, she's a lady" XD Alternative title was "M'lady", but my friend voted for the song ref instead, so here we go

So yeah, skekSa's description in the books is rather different from the illustrations provided by Corey Godbey. So I thought why not draw her in both? And then for fun, I also added her in the outfit of skekCru, who while not technically the same character was also to be a Mariner IF his name had been confirmed in the manga IF we had had that third book before it was cancelled. (and if we were to get a season 2 of AoR, I'm sure her design would change yet again - these drawings are just for fun, exploring the different designs for the Mariner )

So in the book (JM Lee-Sa), skekSa is described as being covered half in serpentine-scaled armour (complete with metallic shoulder guards/pauldrons) and half long frill gown/skirt. Wearing a long green and gold brocade coat. She isn't mentioned to have any piercings at all and has dark green feathers on her hat. She has also has dark eyes and a black mane. And like all of JM Lee's skeksis, is described as having scales. And a long dark cloak. There is no mention of a carapace, and I think we can assume she didn't have one or she would not have been able to use her secondary arms as she did in the book. She is mentioned to be wearing boots, but they are hidden by the skirt.

In Corey Godbey's illustrations, skekSa is... well, I've drawn her following the illustrations there as closely as I can, wearing boots, a short cape, short coat, baggy trousers, and a pointy turtle-like carapace, also piercings, jewellery and a single blue feather on her hat. This is my personal preferred design

The design from Legends follows what was seen there for skekCru as closely as possible, but obviously I had to take liberties with guessing the colours.
