caught my 50K, so, as promised, I drew him a request. c: Amaterasu with the Blade of Kusanagi.I haven't ever played Okami though, so sorry if there's mistakes xD I had to bother Keenku a lot to help me with the designs and stuff lol.

Looking at the pic again, I noticed you must've put loads of work into it! Ammy sticks out so well with that white outline of hers that I almost looked over the background you've got there. The technique you used there really gives me the same feeling the games art style does. It looks all water-colory and blendy and stuff. You also go those clouds almost identical to the ones in game! Even the lightning looks strikingly similar! *gasp* Ammy looks good too. I love how smiley she looks, a great fit for her personality~ <3
(also forgot to mention that Okamiden, Okami's sequel is supposed to come out sometime soon for the DS [last I hear it was spring of next year]. Chibimaterasu is supposed to be the new protagonist, and he's THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER!!!! .w. just saying) Sorry about the comment spam btw~

Thanks so much ;w; Yeah, at first, the background was darker and more solid... but it seemed to swallow up Ammy O8 so I made it lighter and put a lot more white in it and it seemed to work XD
And I love comment spam from you XD This morning, I logged into dA, and I was like *humdeehum, scrolls down inbox page* OH HEY THERE'S LIKE 10 COMMENTS FROM BLITZY! YESS!

X3 The replies were epic ...even though it took me a month to rereply to them (I love seeing my inbox number jump). XD

Wow~ I figured you must have played through Okami to get the design as accurate as you did! Nice job Zules. :3 You'll definitely have to play it through some time, I've gotten over 100 hours of gameplay.... twice now. XD Its addicting to collect all of the secret beads, and do the side quests. Heck even running around is a fantastic time. (the environment looks absolutely astonishing in person. I could just stare at it forever i swear)
Its even got multiple fighting styles (also handy for multiple playthroughs ;3) My favorites are the bead weapons, with shields coming in a close second. I can't for the life of me get the swords to work well. AND OMG getting Demon Fangs is fun in itself. I'll let you find out way. But yeah, good game, good characters, good storyline(s)? and a good picture to go along with it!

You should really play Okami if you ever get a chance, it is such a great game ;A; I bet you'd enjoy it~
Ammy's design is really hard to draw, but at least it's defiantly recognisable as her even if her design might be wrong. Although I don't think it is haha 
I also really love the background, again there is so much detail and is really pleasant to look at. It was a good idea putting a white outline around Ammy as it helps her stand out against the background. Also using a texture on the background while not Ammy helps this too, and also makes the background look even more interesting.

You're welcome~! <3 You defiantly succeeded in making her stand out :'DD even when I look at it now as a whole I still find I focus most of my attention to Ammy, which also means I see the background with it as an overall image rather than them both separately. (Hrrm, I can't seem to phrase that properly. But hopefully you know what I mean! xD) It's amazing how a simple white outline can make such a positive difference!

I agree with Stephen, The design IS hard. I really want to draw Ammy so much. :c But I suck at stuff... and stuff.
Seriously though you got to try Okami when you get the chance. x3 It's a really wonderful game. Plus if you like wolves + drawing all over the screen as skills, you'll just LOVE this game to death. I know I did. :3
But yeah great job on this drawing~! You did a pretty good work on this.
Also I liked the Blade of Kusanagi...

It IS a must-play. xD You'll have fun picking your favorite weapon. There is like three types of weapons, difference styles. o: I love the swords... But I also like the beans. xD
