Hi, my second work. But I change my tool, not use Illustrator. Now I using Xara linux Extreme, It's open source, and also free, and powerful.About this work, I spent 1 and half of month, half of month to learn new tool, and after draw too much Xara sometime went to crash (of course, current version I use is 0.7, it's still beta, and in development).
With me it is incredible, and I think I can't do it again, or creat an other like that. It make me a bit sad
, I hop that I will be able to do what I want like many Deviants (but I know it's not easy).The girl is from the catalog of Carré Hermès [link] . I guess, she's from Northern, or Eastern Europe. So I named her from Finlandese style.
Do you like this name?The useful tool (I think) of Xara are transparent tool, blend tool, and magnet. I think the transparent tool is the key of the Xara. With blend tool, they are beating the similar features of Illustrator.

Nothing special here, I just use tool is called "Blend Tool" in Xara.

Xara is an awesome program. I haven't reinstalled linux yet, so I had to pay for my copy.

May be, you meant Xara LX may damage your Kubutun, and you don't want to reinstall Linux!?
Don't worry about it!
You only remember that:
* backup your works which are done with Xara (.XAR or .xar extension).
* save changes any step you've done with Xara.
And using XaraLX you can help the developers by reporting the errors that you get.
If you need to export your works to high quality PDF documents (with commercial plugins), or need commercial PANTONE color libraries, or (NEW feature) Flash support, you should buy the Windows version.

Basically, I had Linux on my old computer, but when I bought my new one and moved the hard drive I uninstalled Kubuntu for gaming purposes. (I would partition, but GRUB hates me.) I purchased a copy of Xara Xtreme for windows (not free) a while ago, and so far it's been awsome. I've been meaning to try out the linux version, but I've gotta find a download for Lilo or something before I go about doing that. I support the penguin, but I also need to shoot stuff, so I can't quite kill windows right now.

Yes, one of my problems with Linux was bootloader.
You should install other OS first, then install Linux after.
As I know, (and as my experience) GRUB is better.
Linux is hard, many people said that it take tens of years to master Linux.
I've used it for about 4 year. May be a newbie+.
Now, I've started learning Vim, and Perl (really good when using linux).
There are many things to learn: Network, Systems Admin....... Oh, this made me mad 
If I have problems, I will not make questions in Linux's forum like Linuxquestion, or Linuxforums,etc. Although, there are many experts, but, sometimes I don't receive an exact answer, and need to wait for days, even months...
So, ask Google
