This one sucks but hey might as well throw it out there for some criticism.

I owned one of these for 3 years, it too was white.
And no you didn't get the reflections wrong at all. The thing is there isn't anything whiter than white in the paint palette. Most of the reflections are actually more like Hot spot's in a photo, So this is as good as anything i've seen anywhere.
VERY WELL DONE!
Big props on being brave and going for it. Keep it up!

Thanks I just didnt think the lighting was correct especially the front of the car.

I did the barracuda correct but i think thatw as a fluke needless to say I wont be trying many white cars.

nah, white cars are tough but to be honest i like this better than the RRs. As hard as white is you still got it right imo. the problem when you're trying to make the car somewhat stylized is that white paint often shows a lot more color from the surroundings and you as an artist are trying to show off the color, not the surroundings or how "shiny" the paint is ... we already know the paint is going to be shiny, we want to know how THAT color looks on THAT car. if you look at it from that stand point then you should consider this a success. by using creamy (he said creamy) whites for the darker areas i think you made the paint look somewhat pearlescent and gave it plenty of depth. i love the stance on this thing too - it fits the generation.

Awesome thats what i need I had no clue going into it how I was going to achieve that look.I started with a grey base and added white reflections over that.Coming from just straight photorealistic chops to doing renderings like this I thought would be easy but it takes alot more getting it perfect. Before I would just copy paste now i have to make them myself.

You're always your own worst critic I guess

Thanks!!

you've brought something fairly unique to this because of your background with chopping i think. it may be a tricky transition but you're applying some skills that aren't normally associated with vector or really even vexel for that matter. and it's true, you are your own worst critic. sometimes you have this idea in your head about how something needs to turn out and you don't like it when it doesn't happen but you ALWAYS miss that something other people will see in your work and love.
a few more of these and you're going to have a big fan in me ... i already see your style showing through in every one and i like it. keep it up ... wish we had more peeps talking over at lateral-g but i guess the big guys are super busy. all of em that i know say they are. *shrugs* ... i've got a car show i'm getting space at coming up in sept, we'll see how it goes.
