Poke'dex:
Medusi is a rare and elusive poke'mon that is on the Nation Endangered Poke'mon List. Found only in the Chubu Region, it is said to be home to a reclusive location unreachable by man on a place called "Silt Island".

Although Medusi have not been seen in nearly 60 years, old text research documents state that Medusi's venom was very rare, and is said to be able to paralyze poke'mon and humans alike. However, the real threat was when you looked into a Medusi's eyes while it used it's attack "Stone Gaze". If you locked pupils with Medusi during this attack, your body, whether human or poke'mon, would turn to stone.

There were ancient clues to a cure for this stone condition, however any truths to it have been lost in time. It is said that the threat Medusi posed to poke'mon and humans alike is the reason it was hunted to near extinction.

So obviously, Medusi is based off of Medusa, the legendary Gorgon whose head of snakes was one of the most creepy Greek Myths ever.

But I always thought as a chibi, Medusa could be quite cute! ^_^ Basically, there will be a mountain on the location in the description, "Silt Island", called "Mt. Olympus".

On Mt. Olympus, there will be many rare and legendary poke'mon. The idea is that you won't be able to access the mountain until the third game in my fictional series. The Emerald/Crystal/Yellow/Platinum of the series.

There, you'll find one. Just ONE Medusi. Medusi is not a legendary, but it is a rare. Kind of like how in the original games there was only one chance to catch a Snorlax, Sudowoodo, in Diamond/Pearl one chance for Cresselia, and etc.
