Description
It’s dark,
quiet.

Water is all around me, and the sun is nowhere to be seen.
I sink further into the depths, and I my body getting heavier.
Further, and further down, as these chains pull my limp body.
Hope begins to fade, along with my desires.

Is this all that will ever be for me?

But just as the life fades, a flame of hope is enkindled.
A guiding hand reaches forth towards me.
A once faded light begins to shine.
A warmth that need not be explained.
A hope that never once began to fade.

And so I find myself approaching the light.
I feel the chains begin to break.
And when I finally approach that light?
It’s a breath of fresh air.
