I have never installed plugins before this - just used what came with the download. I'm new to Apo, and I've got so much to learn. I am using the 64-bit version. Should I be using something different? I didn't get any warning when starting the program.

You will not get a warning when starting 64-bit Apo, but 32-bit plugins will not load in that case. Warning will be sent if some plugins failed to load, and this usually happens if you have too many plugins installed.
32-bit executable should be in the same folder as 64-bit. You should try using it.
The Apophysis will most likely not work with 159 plugins. You should reduce it to 40 or 50, or maybe remove them all and add one by one if you need them.
Most Apophysis plugins that you will find on DeviantArt or elsewhere will be 32-bit. Some developers also provide 64-bit versions, and they will state it in deviation comments in such case.
Some people were collecting plugins source code to compile them in 64 bit. I don't remember who it was, you may try asking tatasz if there is some place where you can get 64-bit plugins. Or you can just use 32-bit Apo for now, you shouldn't see any difference.

I actually tried the 32-bit, and all the same original plugins show - but not anything new. I'll try removing a bunch of them to see if that will help.

Let me know if it helps.
If it doesn't please send me screenshots of apophysis splash screen, plugins list scrolled to the bottom, and the folder where you placed the plugins. I will know more based on that.

Sorry I posted twice. I couldn't find the first one, and thought it had simply disappeared.

I removed every plugin from the folder and opened Apo again. Every plugin is still showing and working, except, of course, the two that I added. I have a thought - I changed my download location to my F: drive because my C: drive is getting full. Could this be the problem? Sorry for not getting back promplty. I'm bouncing between my computer and babysitting my granddaughter.

Apopysis bitness is correct, and plugin location is correct too.
Regarding the plugin list - I meant the one in Apophysis itself, in editor window.
I see you have both 32 and 64 bit plugins in your plugin folder. This may also be a problem. Try leaving only x86 plugins, or even better only one blob2.dll.
If it doesn't help then I'm out of ideas. Sorry. You may also ask tatasz , she should know more about new versions of Apophysis.

Thanks for trying. I have done just that, and it still doesn't make any difference. However, I came to the conclusion that I'm stressing way too much over this, for a novice, and I should just take a chill pill until I'm up to the challenge. I should just spend my time getting to understand the app first, as that's a big enough challenge for now. I have always wanted to run ahead, causing me to have that "man of all trades, master of none" persona. Time to just stop and breathe.

Understanding the basics is a good idea. There is a plenty of stuff you can do with the built-in transformations.
I'm currently working on a small project that will eliminate the issues with plugins. I could let you know when I release it.

I tried removing every plugin, and when I went to the app, all the plugins were still there, still working, except for the two that I added. I had a thought. I've specified that new downloads download to my F: drive, as my C: drive is almost full. Could that be a problem? Sorry I'm not getting back promptly. I have no blob plugin, so I downloaded this one, dragged it into my plugins folder, restarted Apophysis, but it still doesn't show up. What am I doing wrong?

Hi. Did you install any plugins previously? Do you have problems only with blob2?
My assumption is either you use 64-bit version of apophysis (which doesn't support 32-bit plugins) or you have too many plugins and apophysis cannot load any more (in such case you will get a warning message box when you start apophysis).

I am fairly new to Apophysis, and have not installed any plugins, until now. I just use what came with it. I don't get any warning when I start it up. The plugin folder showed 158 items, and now, 159 with blob2. I tried adding another one, and it didn't show up either. Is blob2 a 32-bit plugin? I have tried locating the newbies in the 32-bit app, but still, nothing.
