this is really beautiful.

okay, here's the deal. i drew a merman and i don't want to, like, draw a back-ground behind it, so. could i use this as a back-ground for it? i'd give you credit, of course.

I'm glad you do. It's not a print because so far nobody ever bought one of my prints. Therefor I don't go through the hassle of submitting prints that much anymore.

Oh, you totally should! Maybe you just need to garner a little more attention from the dA public (like me lol)

How do you do it? I have 80+ people watching me, but they only seem to pay attention for a short period of time. As you can see I don't have that many pageviews.

I don't! lol I don't post regularly and most of my art is crap thanks to the quality of the scanner, the age of the image, etc etc. I have 2 or three people who watch me. Though, of course, I'm a student who doesn't have time to really produce serious art so... *sigh* Story of my life. Whatev. In other words, don't come to me for advice! I have no experience whatsoever .

Oh, OK.
Well, what I don't like about this place (or any other artsite) is that you have to spend more time promoting your art than actually making it. Since I just graduated from Uni and are going to try to make money with graphics design and photography, the self promotion thing is my major concern. I don't whant to spend my time with it.

I agree. And I have no time for either . Since I'm not uber serious about it yet I can afford to create without worrying about self-promotion, but I'd still like to get a little feedback. If you're not amazing or professional you don't really get any attention. lol
