Chacha grimaced at her, before raising a shivering paw up towards her neck- " Chacha! You heard what she said. No scratching! " Chrys playfully pounced on Chacha, the two tussling for a moment as Chacha wailed, " But it itches so baaaad! "

" And no roughhousing! I know you three are used to being outdoors all the time, but if you do that in here you might get hurt, " Tomato said, frowning as the two broke apart. Chacha flopped onto the ground, glaring at Chrys. " Just keeps things calm for today, okay? I'll be back soon, I promise. "

As she headed out the door, she paused, giving the triplets a worried look. Chlora turned to look at her and she hastily threw on a smile, waving as she said goodbye. She really hoped nothing went wrong while she was gone. Chacha just couldn't keep her hands off of her mane, fur was already starting to cover the living room, and Chii knew those three could cause some trouble together.

It might be a good idea to check in on them after finding the rubba shrooms. Just long enough to drop them off and make sure everything was okay. Yes, she would do that. She just had to find some first, which was easier said than done. There was a biting chill in the air today, and by the time she got down to the market, she found that only a few stalls were open.

It was just her luck that none of them sold food. Well, there was one Puckoo seller toughing out the cold, but she doubted they had any mushrooms available. Looked like she would be heading for the forest after all. The sharp wind reminded her that this was going to be a long day as she pulled her wings closer to her body and started walking. For a moment she had to remind herself why she was out here in the first place, and she couldn't help but wish Chacha had picked another day to get sick, even if it made her feel guilty to think like that.

As she made her way through the snow to the southern edge of town, she had to fight less and less to get through the icy drifts, until the snow was so thin she didn't have to push through it at all. She could just lift her hooves up a little bit higher, and she was happy to find that only a few inches of snow gathered in the woods, making it easy to brush it aside in search of rubba shrooms.

An hour went by before she finally found some nestled at the base of an old tree. Her hand were so cold she could hardly feel them, and she had icy water all over her from digging through the snow, but she could finally head home and take a break from all of this winter weather. At least until she headed back out for the tree bark, but for that she planned on bringing a nice jacket.
