It has a Formula ram air hood. The difference is this car is not a proper Trans Am without the single airscoop hood, that was the main feature of the Trans Am straight from the factory. Just because the Trans Am hood had better air induction then the formula Ram Air, made it more proper to use the 455ci engine without noncompeting the combustion cycle at high RPM's.

Amazing example. I love Trans Ams. Everyone thought the Firebird was the hot rod but the Trans was the real beast! So much more comfortable inside than the later versions. Why did they ever do away with those awesome comfy seats?
