EDIT: So I added a more defined upper lip and adjusted one of her eyes.

Okay, it took me way too long to color this. The background was supposed to have beautiful, sweeping chiffon draped randomly behind her in raspberry, red orange, and golden yellow. This was also the background in the photograph that inspired the pose.

But, after some haphazard attempts, I couldn't create a background I could be proud of. I was also so sick of coloring that I simply couldn't take it anymore and got rid of the lines of the drapes.

I also had a hard time deciding between white hair and blue. I generally like white hair better, but somehow blue seemed more fitting for this elf--which ended up working out because of the background snafu.

This is my first full color piece since joining Deviant Art and am quite pleased despite its imperfections.
