I have a new sketchbook. 10" square. (last one was about 7" square)I decided to start it off with some fabulous sketch-paintings. Mostly Ideas for rpg card game creatures.
These are carnivorous plants! I'm on a roll.
unfortunately its a pain in the ass to scan the bigger book - my scanner is about an inch too short on the wide side.

can i just say how great it is to see someone appreciating a traditional gem, the sketchbook. with all of these wacom pads and fancy digital toys, it seems like we've lost this close-at-hand door into our imagination. when the power goes out, the sketchbook will be missed. but not by those of us who don't forget!

I whole heartedly agree! I love sketchbooks. I love seeing a sketchbook as ART.

you know... i started putting some sketches up but then thought it over and decided not too.
maybe ill start putting some up (i recently got a scanner!). but i never know when to differential between a full blown drawing and a sketch.
