Part of my Ultimate Roster Project.I normally upload 5 characters at a time but I only uploaded 4 earlier this month to coincide with the North American launch date of Smash Ultimate. (On Twitter anyways, I think I posted 'em to deviantart the day after) The biggest hurdle in drawing Ryu was drawing the feet. I've always drawn characters with shoes on and I've rarely ever had to actually draw feet. Drawing them in this particular angle had to be the most annoying process I've ever went through haha. It may not look perfect but I think I did all right. As for the character himself, I was pretty excited during his initial reveal in Smash 4 since we were finally getting an actual fighting game character in Smash - too bad the leaks spoiled him for me.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention. He's got Gohan's same pose from his FighterZ artwork since they both share the same English VA.
