Did you ever notice how Pearl is the only Pearl not having the color of her diamond?~or
Did you ever notice her Pearl isn't on the belly like her diamond's gem?~
Well that is because! She (most likely) is actually White's Pearl, but why did they switch Pearls?~

Well there are a lot of little details that still hint that our Pearl is White's Pearl,
Like do you notice how every other Pearl (from Blue and Yellow) has their Pearl there, where their diamond has their gem? While Pink's diamond is on her navel, while our Pearl has hers on the forehead just like White..?
And White's Pearl has her pearl on her navel, not on her forehead.. Also she has a crack on her left side where her eye should've been, which means that something must have happened to her in the past, right? Even though her pearl is perfectly fine, something must have happened to her form~
Besides all other Pearls, so from Blue and Yellow, have kind of the same personality as their diamonds, while our Pearl doesn't resemble Pink at all, she's neat and likes to have everything in order, while Pink is very childish...hot headed...
Also in one episode Pearl suggested Pink to transform into a Quartz, so the other diamonds won't find out about Pink being on earth... the strange thing is that Pink herself didn't think of that idea, but her Pearl, which makes her kind of 'smarter', which is odd, because the diamond should be superior in every aspect...
If it turns out that the Pearls are indeed in the right order, then I can only say that all these aspects, are very very misleading..

Rebecca has also repeatedly confirmed that a gem's gemstone is indicative of their personality, not alignment or symbolism. (With the exception of Aquamarine)
Our Pearl's gem, skin and hair colors are not just perfectly matching to a real life pink pearl, but they're also literally just Rose's skin and hair colors but paler and warmer, which perfectly matches with how the other pearls are colored. She, however, does not look like White Diamond at all, in any possible way, besides her gem placement, which has already been confirmed not to be an alignment thing.
None of the Pearls have their personalities matching their diamonds. In fact, it's quite the opposite, their personalities complement their diamond's.
Blue Diamond is an emotional mess, Blue Pearl has absolutely no emotion whatsoever.
Yellow Diamond is serious and stern, Yellow Pearl is the embodiment of the òwó emoticon.
Pink Diamond is child-like and playful, Pink Pearl is motherly and sensible.
Pearl was given to Pink not too long before she was given the Earth, which implies those two things could be related. She'd need help with running a colony- Thus having an intelligent assistant right beside you at all times would be very helpful, especially considering how Pink is. This is why a more sensible pearl was custom made and delivered to her.

Well first of all, the pearls in general don't really look like their diamond, besides the color that is,
and personality wise,
Yellow diamond is arrogant and looks down on other people, like her pearl,
Blue diamond is emotional, but only when its about pink really, you can watch the episodes from before, she never really shows extreme emotions unless she thinks of pink,
blue pearl isn't really emotionless as well and her behaviour is very like her diamond, white pearl is emotionless, you see the difference there that one actually doesn't show emotion, while the other just doesn't talk much, which but doesn't mean that she's emotionless.
Also the clothes from yellow and blue pearl as well as their skin is very clearly the color of their diamonds, while our pearl really doesn't have a pinkish skin even,
I mean yes her hair used to be pink once and paled down to orange, but her clothes really aren't pink. It pretty much has a bit of every color in it.
Furthermore... even though you say it was confirmed that our Pearl was made for Pink, doesn't mean her actual diamond is pink -^-

The Pearls do have some similarities to their diamonds, notably their sheer fabrics matching a notable trait in the diamond's design and as you said, their color, but Pearl's first outfit specifically looks nearly exactly the same as Pink Diamond's outfit . Also, Pearl's color scheme doesn't match White Diamond's at all. But it does match pink diamond's .
Yellow Pearl isn't arrogant, she's smug. Like I said, she's the living embodiment of òwó. She also doesn't really look down on people? Not sure where you got that from. Yellow also isn't arrogant as much as she's sarcastic, and she doesn't really look down people as much as she is above people. She obviously doesn't see herself as superior to Blue or White because she isn't, but she is superior to everyone else.
Blue Diamond isn't an emotional mess all the time, but she surely isn't emotionless like Blue Pearl is. The only emotion she has ever shown during the entirety of the series was that she made a slightly surprised face once, and she shed a singular tear while literally feeling someone else's emotions.
White Pearl is also emotionless, but in the sense that she feels like a robot. BP is a highly reserved person that doesn't show a single drop of emotion, while White is more robotic, not moving anything at all besides her eye and when she speaks, her mouth.
As previously stated, Pearl's skin and hair colors are Pink Diamond's but paler and warmer, which, again, perfectly matches the other Pearl's colors . We also know from several gems that their eye and clothes' colors(and sometimes even skin and hair) don't actually have to match the actual gem.
Pearl's skin and hair colors also match actual, real-life pink pearls . And, according to Joe Johnston(joethejohnston.tumblr.com/post… ), it never changed colors. And that color, according to Pearl's page in the Guide To The Crystal Gems book, which was written by Rebecca Sugar herself, is Pink.
As a side-note, I would like to point out that Yellow Pearl's outfit, without any filters in it, is pink.
I also have no idea what you mean by that last sentence. She was custom made and given to Pink shortly before she got the Earth, not to mention wears pink diamonds in several occasions, that directly means that her diamond is Pink Diamond.

Well yeah she was given to pink, you're absolutely right. And I guess I mistook their confidence of Yellow Pearl and Diamond for arrogance, they're both very confident in themselves and aren't afraid to show it,
and as you said yellow diamond is in fact superior to all the other gems, but so is Steven as he's practically a diamond as well, but he doesn't act all highty-mighty all the time like yellow, that's what I meant with looking down on others.
Also Blue diamond, you said she isn't and emotional mess 'all the time', but for a fact she doesn't show emotion unless it's about pink really, because she thought that she died,
also still I totally agree with you that blue is very emotional, but as I said before she doesn't really showcase it, which means that you really don't have to put a big smile or cry loads of tears to show emotion,
I don't think blue pearl is completely emotionless, they're very similar talking so silently, whispery and only showing emotion when something is fatal.
Also you said before that alignment of the gems or placement doesn't have a meaning, but I highly doubt that, because honestly do you really think they put the gem placement like that for nothing? It surely means something, it just wouldn't make sense to put it in the show if it doesn't have a meaning.
We could now argue and argue continually, but it really won't bring us anywhere as we would only be repeating and repeating our arguments, let's just finish this off with saying that you're very sure that white Pearl originally wasn't Pink's Pearl, while I say that she might've been Pinks Pearl before, aight?

Our Pearl was given to Pink, much like how Yellow Pearl was Given to Yellow, Blue Pearl was given to Blue and White Pearl was given to White. Steven doesn't act superior because he's been raised as a human child and only recently learned that his mom was a matriarch. Yellow has lived most, if not all of her life as the supreme authority, and she isn't afraid of imposing said authority into her subjects. She doesn't brag about being powerful, she doesn't act superior, she acts like the CEO of a large company, and YP is her cocky secretary.
Blue Diamond, before being overcome with grief, was an intimidating and authoritary figure, in a similar fashion to Yellow. That is very different from Blue Pearl's expressionless voice and reserved attitude. Blue Diamond is very driven by emotion, while her pearl is very emotionally distant.
The gemstone placement does mean something. Just not what you think it does. Like I said, Rebecca and other crew members have mentioned countless times that a gem's gem placement is directly correlated to their personality. Forehead gems are intellectual, heart gems are impulsive, belly gems are intuitive, etc.
I also never said that White Pearl wasn't originally Pink's pearl, I do think it's a likely possibility for a number of reasons, however, I do not believe the theory of White and Pink swapping Pearls, because it is a fact that our Pearl was specifically made for Pink Diamond.
The only possible way that that could happen would be if our Pearl was made for Pink and WP was made for White, then they switched pearls, and then they switched pearls again, but that goes against all evidence that WP could've been Pink's Pearl.
