Nope! This is a more natural cross-connection than most fans might think. The "Tales of the GL Corps" DC used to print, as back-up features in the 1980's, included a little-known predecessor to Abin Sur. A 1950's school teacher named Donna Parker whose husband had died in the Korean War!
Making Peter her grand-nephew would be a natural tie-in.

Green is the best, cause if I have read enough Spider Man comics, he has the will to fight for truth and justice no matter what the outcome will or is to become.

Heh, yeah. They really didn't do Paralax justice. But other than that I didn't have much of a problem with it like most people did.
It felt like a movie about 7 years out of it's time. Like if that GL movie had been around in a pre-Iron Man world, it wouldn't have been as hated by so many. But in a world where Captain America and Thor and Iron Man have had massively successful films, it's a whole different animal.

I dont compare marvel movies... they're all good to me (well, the ones from 2000+ are) and i agree, they didnt do Paralax justice... thought he would be more menacing then a space-tarantula
