Fluttershy is just trying to make sure that the rabbit is not pulled by the ears.
Fun (not really) Fact: A rabbit pulled by its ears will eventually die. The ears are used to cool of the blood and therefore the body of the rabbit and when a rabbit gets pulled by its ears, the blood vessels break and it cant cool off. They essentially roast from the inside out. So anytime a magician pulled a rabbit out of their hat by the ears the rabbit eventually died.

Fortunately, pulling the rabbit by the ears is mostly a cartoon convention. When magicians actually use a live rabbit (most use stuffed toys), it is pulled out by the scruff of the neck.
