They were meant more for icons, that is why they are tiny.
I can make them bigger, size wise, and can go up to 50x50 pixels. Anymore would ruin the pixel effect IMHO

As for doing OC's, that might take awhile, if you mean all the animations and stuff.
Now a single unmoving picture ( or something simple like a wing flap or blinking) I could whip up easily (but it would have to be in a few days, been sick AND working), as I have a few days off coming up.
