Well... you see those big rocks in the middle of the sea in my gallery?
Well... (again) this is the sign at the start of the footpath that leads to them... and it means... umm... 'If you go to near the edge, you might slip/fall/get pushed... to your death'
Well... (yes again) thats what it most probably means

What, like not putting foil in the microwave?!

Anarres In reply to smallness [2005-09-05 00:12:56 +0000 UTC]
For example. It makes up for a pretty light show.
Other things interesting to put in microwaves are lightbulbs and CDs.
But be sure to use a microwave that is not yours.

Laverne, from "The Day of the Tentacle ", used to advice against it, alright. But it is a standarised method to defreeze rodents after a three-century cryogenization.

I have a few of those lying around my kitchen and I just didn't know what to do with them.

Uh... Well, someone too said that it lies in wrinkles, but I'll obviate that.

What a relief!
It is reassuring to know that people have so high expectations for you.
Rather bluntly changing topic (and killing grammar in the process, I fear) -- don't you get any sleep?

smallness In reply to Anarres [2005-09-05 01:38:13 +0000 UTC]
I completely forgot you're an hour ahead again.
Haha, oh dear.
And... no. Because I've done nothing all day and a the sugar in a glass of coke has made me far too excitable to sleep.

Anarres In reply to smallness [2005-09-05 01:42:22 +0000 UTC]
Strange... Aren't you supposed to drink tea with the sugar?
Anyway -- tea does make me excited, yep, but that has never prevented me from falling asleep as soon as I touch bed.

smallness In reply to Anarres [2005-09-05 01:45:30 +0000 UTC]
I mean the sugar that's already in it.
And I take sweeteners in my tea
I would have had warm milk which usually does the trick, but when I poured it, it was sort of going lumpy.

Anarres In reply to smallness [2005-09-05 01:53:41 +0000 UTC]
I knew -- I was just stressing the stereotype.
Actually, I usually drink my tea with no sugar nor sweeteners. And more for having something to sip than because it does me any effect... I don't seem to be very responsive to chemicals.
Well, with the exception of certain "vegetable" cookies we had once... But you don't want to read my stories of ill-repute already.

It's called a cliffhanger, and it's usually used in cheap novels to keep the reader hooked onto the next chapter.

In which case... I am hereby sending you to bed.
And I shall take great time tomorrow replying to my messages... as for now, I can feel great embarrassment and innuendo preparing to spill from my fingertips.

Anarres In reply to smallness [2005-09-05 02:07:57 +0000 UTC]
I'd better be preparing myself for tomorrow, then.
Sleep tight.
(By the way, and in a completely marginal way, have you realized that these exchanges would've been much easier through a messaging client?
Probably not as fun, though.)

Anarres In reply to smallness [2005-09-05 22:58:25 +0000 UTC]
"Yes" to me better being prepared, or "yes" to that the exchanged would've been easier through an instant messenger, or "yes", but they would not have been as fun?

Do you realize that you are replying my questions with more questions?
That's an attitude typically associated with people from my country.

Anarres In reply to smallness [2005-09-11 02:38:58 +0000 UTC]
Yes -- it was a very interesting trip. I had never been to Euskadi and it was quite enlightening to be able to talk with people there, which hold different points of view. It's much more complicated from the inside than the way the media depict it.
Oh, and the food was great.

I am told that I am crazy
But you are welcome -- I liked the photo (the cropping, and that line of clouds streaked horizontally...) but I think I like the most the idea of the beauty of a sunset seen through the eyes of a dog.
Oh, and the description too was beautiful and poetic.

Gracias.

i like pink floyd in general,
but my favourite has to be the wall.
there's a lot of political aspects to it
and thats what i like about it.
i also like dark side of the moon,
but thats awfully cliche, dont you think?
it doesnt matter to me though.
thanks for stopping by my gallery.

Anarres In reply to LOVErhymeswith [2005-08-17 15:34:58 +0000 UTC]
You are most welcome.
Well, yes, I guess that calling for the Dark Side to be our favourite is a bit clichΓ©... But then, it's true that it is a very good album.
As for me, I like all the Roger Waters era (that is, previous to him leaving the group), plus The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. The albums thay Gilmour made after Waters left them are, for mee, good instrumentally, but a bit too popish, not very innovative, and with poor lyrics.
I think I like the most the `Four Golden' albums: Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals (which many people don't seem to like, and I find wonderful) and The Wall (both the LP and the film soundtrack, and the film itself, of course).
You are right that The Wall has a lot of political content to it (and many people, again, fail to notice it, or interpret it wrongly). There's also the album they released afterwards: The Final Cut, which I think is rather interesting too in that political sense. It's not as good as The Wall, but it's nice nonetheless (kinda like a B-Side).
