I'm curious, why do you make so many pictures of Velma with a prosthetic leg? I think your art is fantastic, and I especially love this piece:Β images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca8877β¦
I'm not judging you or anything, I'm merely curious and kinda wanna know more!Β Β

Hi Quiet!
Thanks for the comment and question. Β
There's a few things going on with my Submissions all at once - firstly, I'm a huge fan of Velma. Ever since watching her as a kid she's held a strange fascination over me! lol I hardly ever pass up a chance to draw her.
Secondly (and this might sound creepy!) I'm attracted to leg amputee ladies. Combining Velma with that fetish was something I would conceal for many, many years. When I stumbled onto DevArt about 10 years ago I found others who shared my interest and it felt very liberating. I know it's not the most popular of kinks and often draws criticism. But I'm determined not to hide it now. Not after been ashamed of it for most of my life. :/Β
Thirdly, my underlying project is work hard at improving my art skills. I hope this doesn't sound too pretentious, but to do so I decided to work on studying the art style and techniques of artists and illustrators - not just those I admire, but those who seem at the top of their game. I don't find all art amazing, but I feel I can tell when it's solidly crafted and well-produced. So, to track my work with one point of reference seemed like a sensible way of having a 'datum' - and what would be a more appealing way of encouraging me to keep working at art and what would work better at that from me than to squeeze as much Velma into my life as possible! lolΒ
So, there you go. A long-ish (but honest!) answer to your question. Β
I have a soft spot for the Wendigo hunt picture too, so I'm really chuffed you loved that piece!
All the best!
John
