Your abstract art is very different but really interesting (esp the colors I loved them)

I try to comment as often as I can because I'm in love with all your illustrations and with your talent, your art has a soul and that's not frequent, I feel stuff when I look at your art, it moves me so all my comments are meant and sincere

I had lots of fun at the con but it was very stressful too as organization sucked, I never saw a con like that ! BUT I met Chris Judge, French actors, Japanese cartoonists, met old friends so I am happy ^^

Have you already tried to paint Merthur in Grecian (or Roman) myths? Like the story of Pygmalion and Galatea (Merlin being Galatea ^^). It could be lovely! (it look like a commission lol sorry about that, it's just an idea I had :3)

I've seen an artwork where someone did Merlin and Arthur in those roles. (I don't know how to find it now, but I know it's been done and I've seen it.)

So I'd be wary of doing it again unless I can find it and ensure I'm not subconsciously copying what I've already seen.

Well, I'm just at work, as usual, so the holidays don't mean anything to me. I hope that you are enjoying them though.

Talking of Greco/roman myths though...it occurs to me that the one of Apollo Daphne fits in very well with the Merlin myth, (what with Merlin trapped in a tree etc).

oh yes!! Apollo Daphne sounds great for them!!! Such a dramatic dynamic!! The tree reminds me of Vivian trapping Merlin in a tree.
Yes, I found the artwork, which was quite poor unfortunately...
I'm going to look for other possible Grecian/Roman myths used to depict Merlin and Arthur, I've got the impression there's nothing much. There is work to do there ^^ I'll think about it.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen much, if any, adaptation of the greek/roman myths for Merlin art.

A variation on Orpheus and Eurydice would be nice...maybe with Merlin as Orpheus, but using his magic to try and free Arthur from Hades rather than his music.

Arthur as Zeus and Merlin as Ganymede would be rather nice too...

Yes, I am still painting. But at the moment I'm doing artwork for Merlin Big Bang. (So far I've done three new paintings and two pen and inks). But I can't post them until we get our posting date in August. That's why I seem a bit quiet at the moment though.

Hiya! No, I don't sell the fanart because of the copyright issue. My favourites I put on the wall, and the ones I'm not so bothered about I tend to give away to friends.

I haven't been to a convention in years. If they had a Merlin one in this country I'd love to go, (but I wouldn't be on a stall or anything.)

Well, I'm not into Batman, so it doesn't really do a lot for me. I dimly remember Poison Ivy from the film, (was it Uma Thurman?), but... I like the idea of Merlin as some sort of greenman/person of the woods though...so I suppose that's a sorta similar idea in a way

Hey there.
I see you like Merlin, along with fictions and the occasional AU.
Bare with this post for just one minute and I will get to the point, I promise!
What would you say to a story that is very similar, and the main characters even have most of the same attributes?
I started to create the world of Submertia seven, nearly eight, years ago. A land where magic is banished, there are plague doctors that cut open the bodies of those who possess magic to find out what is causing the 'infection/disease' of magic. A land where one of the Kings children has been discovered to have the gift!
Most people who have come to love Merlin (and who couldn't?) have discovered themselves to love The Chronicles of Submertia as well. I've been posting up little tid bits up on my dA that are still subject to editting as I go through the final process for the story, before The Chronicles of Submertia website becomes active.

My point? I think you'd like it! I would appreciate any insight or criticism as well. Here is a link to the Literature Submertia 'gallery' on my dA. More to be posted soon! [link]

It won't be long before you notice the striking similarities that I noticed while watching Merlin for the first time. The similarities were so close, I made it so the part of Cerric just fits Colin Morgan all the more.
