Just keep at it! I'm still learning each time I go to the canvas; having a drawing tablet and a few years of experience has really helped me come far. You can do anything you put your mind to if you put in the work needed.

Different mediums (program use, tablet/touchscreen/mouse use, etc) all make a difference in work- but practice is the main key! Even when i was stuck using a mouse after a year of drawing and looking back on my old art there was a lot of good progress made. I hope you can get a tablet soon, if not, just keep practicing! In the end practice makes the most difference.

Admittedly as a side note I can't draw circles worth a hoot and yours is perfect I'm kind of jealous
We all have abstract doodles; just make sure to study anatomy on the side and practice for more set pieces. 
Eventually after practice and studies you can build up a nice style and only get better from there!
