hey grumpy goat just wondering how long it took you to get into the industry or into any job that you wanted to get into. I'm just getting out there and already I've hit a snag when it comes to finding work what advice could you give?

Wow. Um... let's see. I was a professional before I went into college. But mind you, not a good one.
Honestly, right now is difficult to find work. I'm competing against people that decades more experience than I do, so I'm taking small jobs here and there.
As to "making it" I don't think there's any magical way of doing it. Work hard, really hard, for all your teachers, even the ones you may not like, and always play nice at school, because you never know who may email you out of the blue from school to say, "Hey, our studio is hiring!"
Animation, comics, art is a pretty close knit field, so many of your jobs will come from people you know. So to stand out from the crowd, sometimes it's not just about talent, but about passion. People who are passionate about doing what they love tend to succeed where others fail. Everyone has to pay their dues. I'm still paying mine. I started out at an internship, working long hours, and for no pay for some time before I was hired on as a... paid intern. Working up from there I was given the chance to design on a project, and it boomed from there.
Most of the time, I was designing things I could care less about, but if you keep your "student cap" on when you're out of school, you'll be lightyears ahead of a lot of people. Always be a student of art. Curiosity and passion will carry you far.
Hope that helps
-Karen

Great work! I love the white rabbit. I did Alice, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare for another project someone was working on.

Hey, hope you don't mind me adding you to my deviant watch. I'm always looking for more artists with that loish style of free-flowing lines.
Also, thanks for posting on my Gaia thread. I couldn't have asked for a more talented artist to put me back in my place and remind me of how much I still have to learn. I was hoping to start this project soon as a way of getting some practice in, but I went about it in a very vain way, so thanks for setting me straight. I'm gonna re-post this idea without all my presumptive introductions, so please come take a look once it's finished and give me your honest opinion again.

Taking credit for someone else's hard work is very immature. Theft of this nature can and will get you banned, so I suggest that you take down the artwork before that happens.

I love your artwork. It's so simple and nice to look at, yet whimsical. XDD
I guess that's pretty common for an animator, but I still really like it.
