My pleasure. I can't wait to try it out.
I'm not sure if you mentioned it or not (I might've miss it, forgive me), but how did you do the base frosting/chocolate for the cake?

Ah, it's a question I'm regularly asked, and one which I will make sure to address if I get the chance to remake the tutorial. I don't actually make the cake or the icing, I just do all the decorating in chocolate. What my mum uses is chocolate fudge icing, something she makes herself, but something I don't think I can tell you how to make, as I don't really know and it's very much down to experience with getting the texture right.
However, any firm base of icing should do; marzipan, fondant... though get one that doesn't taste icky. :yuck: You can use glacé icing (what you make from icing sugar, and I just realised that I must say: icing in the UK = frosting in the US) but it helps it to set firmly if you add a little melted butter when making up the mix. If you try it or any other method out and have some feedback about what works/doesn't work then I would love to hear about it, and I'll put it down in the tips at the bottom of the artist's comments; I like to share the love and advice out, so I can help more people! Also, I'd love to see what you make if you do use the tutorial.

This was incredibly helpful, thank you! I definitely am planning on using your tutorial as soon as I can; I just have to find an excuse to make a cake. >.> I'll let you know how it turns out.
