Things have been... interesting, this year, let's just say that. It's kinda been one giant clusterfuck. The second you think you have one thing sorted, another springs up. I'm trying to get back in the saddle, drawing and writing-wise, with mixed results, so far. -__-;

Ahhh yeah I feel you, my year's been much of the same in that regards. I've been doing the same thing with writing and it's successful for like, a week at a time before it flops on me again xD I'm really happy to see new art from you though! (Even if it's not brand new lol) I don't have the time to read much lately or I'd stalk your FP and slather you with praise over there too qwq

I would be totally okay with having a successful bout of writing for a week at a time. I get maybe a couple hours, or a scattered day or two at most, and that's about it. BP There should be more new art following, with me being in a drawing class. It'll likely mostly be classwork or graded projects, but it's better than nothing. Maybe it'll serve as a kick in the ass to do more of my own stuff. 

Awww, that's too bad. I think I would die without reading time. I'm too much of a friggin' bibliophile to go without books for too long. I will admit that I miss hearing your thoughts on Redux, though, and it's not just the ego-stroking. (Although that is certainly welcome as well because my self-confidence has always sucked.) XD You're a wonderfully insightful person, and honestly, you seem to see things in there that, I don't know, maybe on some deep, subconscious level I myself was aware of or was aiming for... But most of the time you make these awesome observations and I'm just like... Hell, I don't even know how to describe it. I sit there with big starry eyes at the wonder of it and go, "That is so cool, I wish I'd thought of it like that..." Or, "Wow, I wish that brilliance wasn't totally unintentional..." XD; (To quote the Joker from The Dark Knight: "Do I really look like a guy with a plan? ... You know, I just... do things.") And you genuinely get the psychology and the more subtle nuances behind some of this stuff, which pleases me to no end. Like. I could go through and review your reviews, and they would probably be just as glowing in praise of your analytical skills when it comes to these things. So... Yeah... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad that you don't have much reading time available, because I'm pretty sure your reviews/observations have always been my favorite, but I totally understand. And Redux isn't going anywhere, so if you ever find yourself with free time on your hands and you're not sure what to do with it, Redux - and everything else - will be where it has always been. I'm sure I've probably said this before but I will happily say it again: Thank you so very much for your time, your voice and your contributions. They will forever be cherished. <3

I'm really happy to hear about you being in that class, I don't know if I said it but I'll say it again if so. It seems to be doing you wonders, both for artistic purposes and for mental purposes. We don't have many interactions but you seem to be a bit happier and a bit more content and that's really, really good to see. I haven't really been keeping up with writing since I moved, but I've been knitting a little more and slowly piecing my life together as much as I can. (I even dyed my hair pink! Lol)

I have to say, I don't think I have ever had such a big smile reading something like this. It's so... almost surreal to think that I've actually been reading your work since I was 13, and always looked up to you as a kid. You honestly kicked off some of my writing when I was young and served as an inspiration. And now here you are thanking me for the insight I'd been striving for when I was young. It really is gratifying as hell to hear that, but it also turns me into a little puddle of fucking mush. I always loved your stuff, and I always tried to pour all my thoughts into that little box when I reviewed anything at all, and it means SO MUCH to hear you say it has the impact that it does and did. It's nice to be recognized for things like that when so much passion goes into it you know? I've taken ages to respond to this but I've read it quite a few times still and it makes my heart swell. I definitely view you as a peer in the writing world now, and to be recognized by your peers is a very lovely thing. I look forward to the day I can get back into smothering your works with love and nitpicking the little details, cause honestly man, from the time I was a wee little babee, you've always been my favorite on fictionpress, and really, truly helped to shape me literarily into who I am right now. Your work helped me nurture my love for psychology and my own writing, and depth and background and well-rounded characters. Just, yeee. This makes me feel good. ^_^

Thank you! Well, the mental bit is still kinda hit and miss, since my brain just loves complicating things - and other aspects of my life have taken a major nosedive - but... Yeah. It's definitely helping me get back into the drawing saddle. If it's any consolation, since I started class back in September, I don't think I've written more than... Iunno... a paragraph, maybe? XD; So you are certainly not alone in that department. Ooo, knitting! I've actually been tempted to take that up more than once for my love of snuggly fuzzy things, but I don't know if I'd actually stick with it, or if it would all sit in a corner collecting dust like some of my other craftsy pursuits. >_>; Funny you should mention the hair part - I recently dyed mine purple again for the first time in... what feels like forever. Yay funky coloured hair! 'Course mine is all washed out with big bleached streaks through it now...  

Aww... Yeah, that's pretty insane. Hard to believe I've been working on UG/Redux that long. (Oofta, I feel old now.) Oh, man, yeah, I could definitely tell that you took your time going through things, and that was incredible to read. I've been really struggling with it lately so... not going to lie, I go back to those reviews when I'm feeling really demoralized and unmotivated, and it helps. A lot. Or, at least, it makes me feel a little less like a total sham for a writer. Haha, and here I was thinking that you hadn't or weren't going to respond because I was worried that it came across as super ass-kissy, or desperate, in the sense of, "Plz come back and read my thiiiiiiings!" Good to know I was wrong. XD; Yup, I totally get the bit about being recognized for something that you put so much passion into. (Which is something that kind of saddens me now in regards to Fictionpress - personally, if I get one half-assed review for a new chapter, I'm doing damn good. Although, I suppose it's understandable why so few people would stick around, given how few and far between my updates are. Sigh... Downside of being an extremely slow writer, but one who loves receiving feedback just to know what readers are thinking. Hell, I can't even get feedback from the people I know in real life if I can get them to read my shit at all, and let me tell you, that is super fucking discouraging.) It warms my black, twisted little heart to hear that, though. It's extremely humbling and gratifying to know that, for better or worse, something one's written has had a notable impact on the life of another. Honestly, it's more than I could hope for, so good feelings all around! But, again, thank you for all of the tremendously thoughtful and enthusiastic feedback over the years, because I can't thank you enough, especially now, all things considered.

Haha, actually, I've toyed with this idea before. I've posted test pieces up, but it's never really gone well enough to make it worth the effort of fighting with the process of submitting prose, because holy hell, it's a pain in the ass. (Especially given the size of my documents. Oy.)

But... I dunno... I suppose I could give it another shot.
