"machine head" is a fixture in my car CD player. love the track "pictures of home" but there is so much fantastic sound coming out of that album!

and don't get me started on close to the edge! masterpiece doesn't begin to cover it. I love the way they balanced the jawdropping power of the first side with a careful-yet-casual trip through "and you and I" (one of my all-time favorites of Yes) then they brighten things back up with "Siberian Khatru-" a total jam. the album is like an adventure through emotion that always leaves you better than you were coming in.
what are your thoughts on "turn of the century?"

and on writing- please do! I would love to read. I took another look through your gallery and I love your take on art in general.

that was great! I got about halfway through. I'm floored by just how much thought and effort went into that video- looking for relevant clips and stitching them together must've taken a long time.

I actually hadn't heard thick as a brick in a long time- my cats knocked my record player over and broke the stylus so I haven't heard much of anything in a while outside of the few CD's I own. Sometimes it's easier to remember to pop on a record or a CD than it is to remember what I want to listen to when I'm looking at a YouTube search box.

as far as favorites go we'll just have to leave highway star, space truckin' and smoke on the water out of the running, since they're top 3 otherwise. fantastic album.
