"Well, we’ve referred often to the show on SWIFT, and you could have done a search to find references, but my opinion is that these naifs just aren’t capable of using the over-tuned and over-sensitive equipment they so cherish. Anything becomes significant, and they can’t differentiate between normal radio transmissions, cell phone signals, nearby remote control pulses, and the hundreds of EM signals they can detect. They go in armed with thermometers and get apoplectic if a chilly breeze occurs – usually in a drafty, deserted, dwelling. A sound not immediately identified will elicit sighs of wonder from them, and almost any sensory input takes on eerie qualities, by default. If they were to examine non-β€œhaunted” locations, they’d get the same plethora of input but they reject that as non-applicable." -James Randi. [link]

Personally I'd like to see scientific evidence that ghosts or spirits could possibly exist, seeing as thoughts and feelings and the "soul" is just electrochemical reactions that need a brain to function.

Use an ouija board and try recording evp's yourself then you can personally find out if they are real or not. I personally believe they are real.

EVP can come from a variety of sources, least likely of which is a supernatural one. With so much communication these days it's far more likely that whatever has been picked up is some sort of signal from a technological source.
There's also the fact that most of the noise featured on such programs are unintelligible garbles with subtitles added by the show producers so that people hear words that aren't actually there. This is done all the time, including attempts by the Religious Right to criticize music they felt had satanic messages.

Concerning ouija boards, has any study ever shown them to have any sort of ability? Isn't it far more plausible, and inline with reality, that people are simply moving the thing subconsciously (or consciously to get TV ratings)?

You won't know unless you try & It's quite easy to tell a supernatural voice from unsupernatural especially because they say very random things & they respond if you talk to them.
