I'm sorry for this late reply. Β But unfortunately my family didn't really do much because we had lost power here since Wednesday. (just got it back today.)

we had the small dinner with the local family that lives close and the big one for all the relatives is coming up actually.

That's okay. We still enjoyed it. My Dad simply went to the store and bought food already made and had a Thanksgiving that way, and after that we hooked up the TV to the generator and watched every action movie with The Rock actor in it. Β

Yep, a small engine version that only powers a few things around the house. But we only use it maybe twice in a winter if the weather gets really bad.
