Monty Python is a very famous sketch comedy troupe in Britain. Think of them as the "SNL" of Great Britain, but their show was also aired in the U.S. in the 70s (I think). Here is one of the most famous skits from their show (known as the "Killer Joke" or "The Funniest Joke in the World"): [link] The movie was just phenomenally hilarious, I highly recommend watching the whole thing.
