Please tell me you're looking forward to Little Witch Academia and Gintama this season.
They might be the last things I see for a really long time. I've gone thru as much obscure manga and anime as best I could fthe 60's up to now.

Oh man super late reply haha but I was looking forward and am currently enjoying LWA, the second cour looks like it's going to be a blast.
Sadly I've never been a big Gintama fan so I haven't kept up on it so much. Though I do tend to watch a lot of everything. Every new season of anime I at least keep up with four to five anime at a time.

Yeah; lwa has been fun; it finally picked up speed. I was hoping the intro 13 episodes could have been progressively done better cohesively to give flow and works build up to the story; not come off so shaky and episodic like that. Eccentric family is currently next on my watch list at this moment; I've almost caught up with lots of backlog I had for years. So I'm almost about getting there. I love Ursula so much. She's such a pretty waifu. <3

I wanted to ask since you're more in the know in the field: do you know any good animated series that have been going around that I might possibly not know of that are good? Been working the nursing life lately.

Oh, and also, I love Osomatsu san. I'd love to see more series do this also.
Shin chan, Pokemon, Ranma (somewhat), Urusei Yatsura (can see it happening with Kotaru being a neet).
Probably one of the better reboots of our time.

Uhh... well... I had just finished watching Gurren Lagan and have been keeping up with Rinne and Arslan (yeah, the queens of manga Takahashi and Arakawa), since I've been getting off alot of the "elitist stuff" as a change of pace and not get egocentric like I used to. I marathoned Soul Eater. The art was good and premise was unique, I guess me being a seasoned reader was hoping for something that defied the traditional storytelling model like I've seen other critically acclaimed authors do. But it was well directed for an anime series, which I'll give it that. I saw Michiko and Hatchin years ago and liked it for its art and direction but not so much the story, it was a bit dissapointing. Samurai Girls is amazing. I love the animation quality and direction, probably because of the calligraphy ink aesthetic it gives aside from being a typical raunchy watch, it's up there for me in animation progression. I dont know whether zetsubou sensei is better or not since that's tough to top off in my book aside from nekomonogatari and those other ones.
In terms of writiing, I enjoyed Baccano and Durarara since it's from the same author who wrote the light novels sine people really like his work, but he's got a really good way of writing and the direction the studios went with were good, so I definitely enjoy his stuff.
And of course one of my favorites, Panty and Stocking. A bit raunchy, But I love the art, direction and everything it did for it's time. It definitely topped the end of the 00 decade and defined it as a change point between the 00's and 10's. that director is definitely my favorite. LOVE LOVE LOVE him alot with Re; Cutie Honey, Gurren, Kill la, Dead Leaves and anything else he's worked on. Super huge fan of his work.
I barely saw Tatami Galaxy, Eccentric Family, Haruhi, Kaiba, Ranpo Kitan and some of those other popular ones like Sgt. Frog, Lucky Star and K-On after putting them off for years. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the latter stuff, but I did enjoy some of those progressive artsy ones. I saw the popular ones mostly to see what the hype was behind them really, but I have been trying to keep up and not fall behind on stuff of the past, so I do apologize if my sense of time is kind of a bit warped at the moment. I know kids like Girls and Panzer, don't know what the big deal is, but kids like it.
The past 4 years felt like a year to me subbing and working odd jobs after my undergrads before getting into nursing, so I apologize if I feel almost a bit like a fossil at the moment, went thru some really weird hipster generation x stuff during that time, hence the odd time and generation shift.
I did recently watch Shimonetta because I saw memes for it alot lately and saw it but didn't find it appealing. The political concept was interesting for the premise, but I didn't really care much for the hypocrisy of the erotic jokes, it was rather very lack luster but very in your face which was impressive. Gintama obviously does it better, considering they got away with alot. Probably because they had good attorney's on staff I suppose.
(but yeah, the elitism got me all stupid on sonic and everything else so I decided to kinda quit it and change the pace and not go all stupid serious like I used to. My input would have at least helped the industry a bit, but ended up hurting financially as soon as the economy got bad, hence why I'm now going for nursing, jobs got bad and so did pay, so i've been slowly getting back down to earth since I did get super lost and let me tell you, it was a confusing doozy. o_O
As for "elitist" stuff I suppose, or good quality stuff, and they might be a bit aged and some new, I have been enjoying Mushishi, which seriously has surprised me alot as a viewer and Nekomonogatari since it's from the same director as Zetsubou Sensei. Him and the director of Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagan are my favorites right now at the moment since I've mostly been reading manga alot lately. Sad we don't have Satoshi Kon with us anymore, but I am anticipating to see future directors put something good as time progresses again.
But in terms of manga, I keep up with One Piece still, Bleach ends in a week (can't believe it), Gin Tama is ending too (sad to see this), Platinum End death note guys, My Hero Academia like his stuff, HxH and whatever else popped up in different magazines and stuff the past few years like Ass Class, Billy Bat and whatever else, so I still keep digging around for different stuff here and there. I ironically somewhat got around and missed stuff at the same time too which is funny lol. But my favorite author is Koji Kumeta of Zetsubou Sensei, his writing, direction and illustration is very professional for being overlooked and has an excellent sense of being critical with his readers. I like him in Impatient Count and Time Thief, Joshiraku somewhat ( you can tell it's still his writing and tone compared to Zetsubou) and lately Kakushigoto, especially when he rags on Ken Akamatsu which is pretty funny (yeah, he went there. competition is real bro lol)
As for retro stuff, Captain Harlock, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku and Ranma 1/2 (yea, I like Takahashi stuff ), Speed Racer, Gegege no Kitaro, Gatchaman, Devilman, Cutie Honey and Cyborg 009. And of course Monkey Punch (huge fan of his) Lupin III, I can never get tired of that, huge fan. I love his other stuff too and wish more of his stuff got serialized. I would definitely love to be one of his students in his university classes for sure since I know he's a professor with a teaching job right now.
But I change it up a bit and change the pace alot lately, so I try not to be too exclusive with a genre. much like going from rock and roll/punk and metal to indie, folk, blues, classical, rap and anything else from other defining underdog people, since I love to suppor the arts (creepy how it's all like politics though, right?).
I have been enjoying slice of life as of late and getting off the action bus so not to get too caught up. Flying Witch, Barakamon, Bakuman (still reading it, put it off too much) and other chill stuff really get my attention alot lately, especially shows that deviate from stereotype archetype social constructs and great social commentary and writing. I usually love stuff that's well written and thought out over excellent illustrations, but would really love to see a combination of both and progressive and unique art direction, since that's pretty much my latest trend has been with the arts of lately. I always love it when an artist and director always go with a different style so not to be the same stuff as the stuff in the past, it's like a strange cool rule to keep pushing forth to the next level like how Evangelion was back in the mid 90's and Death Note was in the 00's.
but yeah, sorry for the long post, I know it's super tl;dr but I tried to keep it simple and detailed, but also testing the waters to see what your tastes have been lately if not still the same and see where everyone else is at the moment and get back and see what people like. I personally want to see where your experiences have been lately since I do want to catch up with stuff people saw that i missed out on that I'd like to get on track with and share with my friends who missed out on stuff too. Most of these guys i know art sticks in the mud and still stuck in the 00's iricomnially with the same thing lol

Oh it's no problem at all, truth be told when I saw your BOOM fanart and that it was done traditionally I was like homahgawd I must see more, I was especially interested in how you did all the white bits, now I have some deleter 1 heading my way! I would have done the same for copics but I think I'm fine with my cheaper letraset pens haha.

Wow~ thanks for telling me, these words just made my day.
Reading something like that from such a talented person is pretty much like receiving gold~ :,)
I'm really interested in seeing some more traditional art from you. Most of your works are drawn digitally (at least what I saw), I bet your traditional works are awesome too.
DELETER WHITE 1 is really nice to use, I'm pretty sure you will like it too. You can use it for a pretty long time even when it's dry (that way you can take it along too), using a bit water and everything is fine. It's perfect to light up colors or doing effects like mists and clouds. Too much of it, use water too. It's very simple to use.
I admit, I'm happy that I started with COPICs some years ago, when the prices still were a bit lower. At least I think it doesn't matter what kind of markers you use as long as you're used to them~
(..and sorry for the crappy english and the long wait..)
