Ms.Georgia..ahem...
//clears his throat
I was wondering, if you are not too busy...if I could share wine with you...just as a formal start over, so you can see how I really am. I think it would be nice, and I heard how fond you are of wine...

Hmm? Oh, yes of course, that sounds wonderful, and I'm not busy much these days so it's not a problem. There aren't a whole lot who come here to spend time with me, so this is a nice surprise!
[ She smiles and gets up to open her wine cabinet, which is filled to the brim to say the least, a number of rather old bottles top the highest part of shelves. She pauses her rather automatic movements as she seems to realize something and looks at Grigori over her shoulder. ]
Ah, I almost forgot to ask, do you have a preference for white or red wines, or is anything fine?

[She frowns at this, giving a bit of a sigh as she clearly doesn't like discussing these two.]
I'm afraid it is not in my power to do so. I am barred from access to Abkhazia and South Ossetia since 2008 after my war with Russia in South Ossetia. Both of those areas are under Russian occupation, and mind you, I was actually going to offer some autonomy to both regions prior to our war, but that is clearly not possible now.

Fine then. Whatever it takes, I am, along with Russia, are still going to see to it that they will be kept ...you can say under our check. Even with the ban, that is hardly going to be enough to stop any conflict in the inside. In other words, I'm going to do what it takes to protect my friends even if it's distant.

APHGeorgia In reply to pridnestrovie [2013-12-14 19:59:37 +0000 UTC]
Protect them? You make it sound to me as though I was trying to cause them harm, which is not the case. I was merely trying to protect my people from attacks from South Ossetia, who was senselessly burning down my people's villages. Surely one can't expect me to have not taken military action to protect them from losing their homes and their lives. As for the ban, I have no intention to go near Abkhazia and South Ossetia in their current state, I have no wish for another attack from Russia, I lost enough people in the last war and I do not want to possibly lose my independence and suffer more oppression from Russia than I already have. I understand that I may seem like an awful person to you given your closeness to Abkhazia and South Ossetia, but know this to be true, Russia is not a good person, he can cause suffering to people like no other, even if he may be your ally now, that will not last forever, I know this well enough.

pridnestrovie In reply to APHGeorgia [2013-12-14 20:14:53 +0000 UTC]
Whether you want to cause them harm or not is hardly relevant to anything. It doesn't matter if it's in your will or not, pain is pain and it will affect anyone no matter what. And don't even try to play the victim card here. I have to put up with that mess from my pathetic brother, and I won't hear it from anyone else. War is war, and it was inevitable that one of you would have started something because of that nationalism phase, it's all a pattern. I should know better than anyone else.
*feels something snap inside of him*
And you know what...., you can just keep your damned mouth shut about Russia, okay? You don't know a damn thing about me, or my relations to him. Nothing. You hear me? He may be the evil villain to you and everyone else, but to me, I could care less. He could be the devil and I would care less because guess what? He's the only person on the face of the earth that saved me from being nearly tortured to death. He's the one that still gives a damn about me at all, really, even if I can't pay him back right now he still continues it. So you can't say shit about him when it comes to me. He'll continue to care for me and I trust him completely. He's not a saint. He does not pretend to be. But at least he's not a complete fucking hypocrite like the rest of you!

[Despite her growing anger at the situation she tries to keep her composure at the moment.]
Look, I was like you at one point or another, I held heavy admiration for Russia in the past. He was going to be my saving grace from being attacked over and over by Turkey and Persia, I had onslaught after onslaught where my capital was constantly burned to the ground, my people slaughtered, and I would have to constantly fight to stand on my own for years. I forged an alliance with Russia who promised to protect me come the next invasion, and he broke his word. He only did so that he could take me and my land and add to his growing empire and greed, and all I ever did was live in the land that I grew up in for thousands of years. At the very least I would exercise caution and at least learn from what happened to me in the past by putting my faith in Russia. And perhaps I am a hypocrite in some people's eyes, but that is no exception to anyone, even Russia. Nobody in this world has the possibility of people a good person. As horrible as a view that may be, we have all done horrible things in our past that we can not erase or be forgiven for entirely. Some people may look awful to some, but then look like a messiah to another.
But if you do not care to listen to me and what I have to say, that is your decision, my words are but wind after all, and they are all that I really have. I am helpless, and so are many others in this world. Very few people here hold any power to do much of anything, and the ones that have power can and will abuse it. Just remember that when you deal with a powerhouse of the world like Russia is right now.

//of course his own anger was still boiling present inside of him, it was not really anything that had just appeared right when he began speaking to Georgia. It was a strong emotion he has been trying to subside for a long time and just chose now to unleash some what was repressed
//and it was only now that he began to regret it
........All of that...I can understand. But try to understand me as well. I know very well much why you nor many others do not and cannot feel any obligation to even speak of Russia much less want to trust him. I don't go around asking why nobody likes us-...or him, and contrary to popular belief, neither does he either. He is not always aware of what he does will come of dire consequences until everything is over and done with, and when he does realize it, it's too late to take it back, so there is no point in trying. Just like how it's too late for me to take back much of what I've done, but just like anyone else, I can't let myself drown in regrets, it won't get anyone anywhere. But you know what? Every country has greed in their hearts. Everyone is corrupt. Nothing anyone can say can make me think otherwise. Russia has held a majority of 'greed', and because his was the biggest, everyone forgets their own flaws to cast down on him, as if they are any better, when they're not. I don't dislike people hating him. I dislike it when they stop seeing what they do wrong as well or worse yet, try to cover it up and hide it. That's something my brothers did to me and I still scorn them to this day. To me, they are like what Russia is to you, or close enough to it. So it's really just a matter of perspective when you really think about it.
....Also, I still stand on what I say. He will never, ever betray me. Because I hold a part of him that he cannot shut out. I am almost like a living piece of him that he cannot live without or leave behind. I need him, and I have a part of him. ....And because of that, I'd understand why you would be Russophobic towards me as well. It's okay, everyone pretty much does, so I don't mind. Just don't say that he'll leave me...I can't be alone. I can't afford to be alone and just left to rot.

I see, well, I understand this well enough, as I said, not everyone is a good person entirely, and I am certainly not a good person I'm sure, and I have to live with that just like everyone else. Some of just are just more notorious for their actions than others are whose actions go unrecognized in the eyes of the world and the records of history. History is written by the victorious after all, the losers are put on the back burner and are recognized by few. It's a sad thing to be sure, but it's how this world seems to work unfortunately.
I understand that you will stand by your beliefs, all of us will, I will stand by what I have said as well; and have nothing against you, as far as I know you have done nothing to really wrong me or hurt me. In my eyes, while you may be tied to Russia in such a way, you are not him, just as he is not you, and as such I will not be 'Russophobic' to you. So long as you respect me, I will respect you because I think that is a decent thing that everyone should do. As for him leaving you, I can't say for certain if he will or if he won't in the end, that is Russia's on decision to make. And even if he does, that doesn't mean you will be alone in the world. You are friends with Abkhazia and South Ossetia are you not? And I'm sure you have some other friends as well like Nagorno-Karabakh. No one can really be alone unless they push others away, if you are welcoming to others then they will come to you, you just have to be willing to let them in, at least this is my understanding of things.

I guess I was only letting my own pre judgements and fears getting the best of me, which is ...let's face it, an extremely unwise thing to do, yes? I was speaking way out of term on behalf of something that I was so passionate about that I nearly let it blind me to not see that you had your own stance on the circumstances that loosely...oh so loosely connects you and I.
So what I guess what I am trying to say is...that I apologize, greatly, on my part.
//with closed eyes, attempting to hide any grief or embarrassment he swallowed hard and bowed in front of her
I am in no place to judge whether or not you are good or bad, but as I stated, it wouldn't matter. I myself am corrupt, but I am only so that it is necessary for me to even survive, it's nothing uncommon of course. I can say that you are a hard working and diligent woman who knows how to take care of your country. While I myself....will most likely be on the verge of decaying soon. It's been getting to my nerves, which I should not allow, but I c-can't help that I-ti seems.....

Perhaps, but everyone can get carried away with things that they are passionate about, and that's not a bad thing, having passion for a cause is a wonderful thing to have, that drive serves people well reaching their goals and being victorious, if we didn't have drive to do something, nothing would get done. But like the two of us, there are people that will always disagree with another's opinion or stance on an issue, and they will not be easy to sway, no matter how much you think your view is superior or correct, they will think the same thing about their view and it just leads to an unnecessary argument and fighting.
Well, I forgive you, I understand your plight and I am glad that you did listen to me, even if you disagree with me. And I apologize if I said something that was out of line on my part as well, I didn't mean to step on any toes, so to speak.
[She appears a little surprised that he would bow to her, finding such a bit formal, but brushes her confusion off after a few seconds.]
Thank you, and well, if you ask me I think your passion will serve you well. You and others like you have the potential to become strong, I believe this to be certain. You are here now, and that requires much strength to break away and declare yourself independent and try to stand on your own, most nations have had to do it at some point after all, usually many times over. So long as you are sure what you are doing is right and your people stand by you, you will never completely go away, and they will be there to make sure you become the nation that you want to be. Your allies will be certain to help you in any way they can as well.
[She smiles some in a bit of reassurance.]

I-I ah...
/he felt himself also becoming rather surprised, as he did not expect that she would be this forwardly open minded towards him much less show any respect for him, considering what he is
Thank you, for the uplifting words. Passion can be good, but it can also be a drawback if you do not show it in a positive way. I myself have a bad habit of doing that at times, but I also show it in a good way if I am feeling motivated enough and patriotic enough to do so.
Disagreements come and go. What is important is that we can still find a way to respect one another. Though I know I am technically not one of your 'peers' in your eyes, it does humble me that you are willing to speak to me an equal fitting. That is hard for me to find in a nation because of...well hopefully obvious reasons. Even still, it's very appreciated, and again, I take back my harsh words. You were saying what you felt needed to be said as was I.
//slowly he lifts up his head and in an even bigger surprise, he no longer appeared to be like a young adult, which is the impression he would give most others when he spoke. now he just looks like a very flustered teenager

You're very welcome, and I understand this, everything has it's draw backs after all, but as I said, in your case I think that it will serve you well, it's a trait that's probably very much needed to achieve what you want, and I think you'll grow to use it in a good way.
I think it's only right that I should speak to you as such, you certainly deserve it and you do warrant my respect, I'm willing to grant it to anyone, it's up to them if they chose to warrant keeping it or not. It's sad that others don't seem to think the same way as I do on this, you and your peers work hard to be recognized and I understand that it's very difficult, so I think it's only right that we at least show some respect for you, plus it just seems like common; courtesy to me, how can one respect a person when the other won't even give them the time of day? And I'm glad that we did have this discussion in the end, now we can understand one another better, and that is a wonderful thing in my opinion.
[she smiles a bit more at this, her typical cheer starting to show through as she felt that she got to know the other better now, which made her feel more comfortable and a bit happy, especially since she didn't have much hope in the beginning that this situation would turn out well, although it didn't seem as such in the end.]

If you really do think so, then I will take your word on it. I'm trying my best to grow and to keep on growing, and I will utilize all that I have to be able to one day...not today, not tomorrow, but one day, to achieve my goals.
To be honest, just from this experience alone, I can also say that you are by far one of the more intelligent people I have come across in recent days as well as the most reasonable. "Such a pity that this does not happen often, but it sure as hell beats nothing at all.....I suppose.
