It's complicated... It's not that I like him or not, its just we're not humans after all so we don't have actual parents. Not to mention he barely raised me anyway, he was mostly off fighting wars, I grew up without him for the most part. But the fact is we're nations, and 300 years is a long time to live and for ideas to change, a lot happened since I was a kid. Even more so for countries like England, France and all the others. Besides we can't date humans, they don't live very long and just being around a human for too long messes up that humans flow of time.
It took me a while but I realized a long time ago that, even if we do get into a relationship with another nation, it'll never last forever... because nothing does. No matter how much we try to stop it, changes happen and all we can do is watch and hope most of them are for the better.
Heh... I almost married Russia back when I was a twerp, but things were so different then. But I still miss how close Ivan and I used to be. I love all the other nations to some degree... and I hate them as well, we can't help it, it's part of what we are, a collection of the collective whole.

Well yeah I can see that I mean being immortal means you would outlive everyone you ever knew and cared about, if you ever did get attached to someone you would stay young forever as they became old, you would watch them die and turn to dust... must be lonely.

*shrugs and shifts uncomfortably, it's not a topic he likes to think about much, being how he is, he had to learn his lessons the hard way over the years* Yeah... but it's always been this way, you just kinda gotta get used to it, I guess. But it's not all bad, ya know? We're all one big dysfunctional family in a way.
(Himayura's headcannon is even worse, if a nation sticks around a human for too long, that human will get so messed up they will start to descend into madness from being too close to them. So in truth, they can't even hang around the humans they grow to love or they'll destroy them... Thanks Hima! ))
