Aw shucks thanks! And as for spore related things, I'm planning to revamp nearly everything I did. The Circus, Seasons Valley, Dorolon, to name a few. They will definitely have character change around s and altered plots so it's... you know, actually bearable this time around. I'd say sleepwell island was always my favourite due to nostalgia reasons

Hello! You might not remember since I was just a quiet fan, but I used to follow you on Spore. You were, like, my idol at the time. I've actually known that you were on dA for a while, and occasionally popped in to see what you were working on, but I was too shy to say anything. I didn't even click "watch" because I didn't want to draw attention to myself. But, um, better late than never?

Take pride in the fact that you actually completed things. There's at least three different prologue adventures on my account that I never bothered to continue. Or maybe I couldn't because my computer kept croaking. My memory from those times are kind of fuzzy.

Yeah, nowadays it's kinda hard to keep myself motivated to do things, but I'm imagining that's because I was young and has less priorities in life at the time. I think I still HAVE the PC that I used Spore on but darn if it ain't a clunky old thing compared to my laptop. I can't bear to part with old stuff I did on Spore and I've actually repurposed old characters and storylines on there. Like Sleepwell Island is getting an entire redo in story and I'm trying to figure out how to write a webcomic for it now!

Well, now that you put it like that, I think I would have gotten more Spore-related projects done if my computer hadn't have kept dying on me. I'd be lucky to get it to start up again. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't relieved; I'm scared to know what kind of horrible, cringy stuff I would have come up with that I hadn't already.
That aside, I feel the same way. At least four separate character arcs spawned from those stupid Space Captains of mine, as well as a whole setting for them to take place in. Also all those fantasy ideas. Etc. Anyways, I can't wait to see what you're planning for the future!
I'm almost never happy enough with my art to post it, and even when I do I'm like... how do I technology. I honestly don't know how these kids do any of this fancy art stuff on the computer, or to make traditional art not look like crap. And I'm 20. There's something wrong with me.
Aw, thank you! I tried to finish Inktober, but I think it's a little irrelevant to now since the month is long gone. I was trying to make some new designs, but they all turned out to be weird amalgamations of earlier ones, so I guess that's all I'm squeezing out of myself this time. I'm glad I actually DID something, though. Hopefully I'll be comfortable enough to start posting stuff regularly soon.

You can still get spore and it's expansion pacs on like... Steam nowadays. I think they cost a fortune, though. good ol EA.

Honestly I've been using photoshop for a long while and I know a lil bit on how to make traditional art look pretty good now, even digitally colour it. i feel empowered and competent. it takes some fiddling though so i don't blame a lot of people having no idea how to get sketches to look good. i think you dod a pretty good job on presenting them well anyways!

Two days short of three weeks this time, ha. I'm terrible.
Yeah, for a while I wanted to buy everything again because the email address I had originally used got deleted somehow. But then I saw how freaking expensive everything is, and all the hoops you have to jump through just to play a game. EA is, like, the ultimate evil of video game companies... discounting Microsoft, but I've personally had worse experience with the former.
I've been using Gimp for the past year-- even though I haven't shown any digital art on here-- which is free, because things that are expensive intimidate me (read above). And I've just been using some Windows 10 photo application to edit photos, and it works for now, I guess. But thank you, it helps to hear that!.

every videogame company seems to be pulling some asinine garbage these days. Even nintendo, with their copyright flagging of fanworks and what have you! No one is safe lads.
my gf has been using gimp! apparently that's been working pretty good for a lot of people. oh yeah im waiting for my student discount to expire with adobe so I'll suddenly have to pirate photoshop at some point like. well, everyone else. yeah i get asked for help in regards of getting family itune's to work, word documents to format and printing jobs. i feel like im being trained to be someone's secretary lol
i hope so too! it's great to have your own personal works to do and i believe you can make something truly great with what you got!

Yeah, Adobe, take notes. When you expect people to pay for your stuff more than once, be prepared to lose some customers to pirating. Aha, I've been getting my fare share of "secretary" training myself. In fact, I tried taking a free class course on how to file taxes. I dare say it was a little fun learning how the process worked, since I'll have to be doing taxes soon enough, being an adult and all. It stopped being fun when I realized how many things you had to remember and how easy it was to screw up one little detail.

there are very few witnesses of the randumb phase on a dead community.... everybody can just pretend it never happened B)
h o n e s t l y Β tho i blame spore for making me have such a phase in the first place. actually, spore is probably a HUGE part of why i'm who i am today (a bad artist and writer who enjoys roleplaying and fucked-up character designs)
also i rejoined spore but all i'm doing is making lame creatures. it's kinda weird playing spore now because it's essentially a ghost town. it's also definitely strange to see all my past creations being reposted spaceships of characters in poses and roleplays and the like and then all of a sudden it's nothing but original creatures

The online community is down, by what I've seen. I kinda tried revamping some of the old designs for characters on there.
Despite how embarrassed I am of the storylines for some of them, the characterisations were atrocious, you name it. But dangit they're still close to my heart.
I rarely go on Spore nowadays due to low attention span and work being the way of that. I sometimes pay visits onto there, have a whack at making things in adventure creator.
