Haha, of course, they also help you to think about what you are drawing. I started very manga influenced, and I'm trying to remedy that now. So your tuts are especially great.

Oh yea i definitely recommend you get away from any styles till much later, you end up with a better product that way. I"m glad to hear they help you think that way! It's good i went for the neutral style people instead of my usual people cause they might seem too anime XD

I think manga is aesthetically very pleasing, if done right. Especially manga-style paintings, I love those! But just huge eyes + neon hair doesn't do it for me. I feel more comfortable in a more realistic style. Which I still suck at, but it's great fun to draw unsuspecting schoolmates!

It IS pleasing, but the great manga artists got where they are by studying realistic and life drawing first, THEN doing manga, which is what i mean by you getting a better product by starting with basics first. Then you will be free to explore all styles

I'm sorry for being so stalk..ish and all, but how did you learn that swedish?

Haha, I know a Swedish boy who wants to learn Slovene, so it's kind of a double deal for us - I get to practise my swedish, he gets to practise his slovene.
Other than that - I learnt a lot by generally listening to Kent or whatever other Swedish music I could find, watching Swedish movies, and trying to read articles. I read a few basic online courses for starters, but most of it was just from reading and actually trying to speak/write - for me, that is the most important aspect.
