No problem, and agreed! Lots of work and makes you want to rip your hair out sometimes, but worth every minute of it lol. Mine's a 4-year old toddler now, but sometimes I miss him being a little poop machine... only sometimes XD.

I wish I will find some time to start drawing again; miss being here and seeing awesome art everyday.
I don't post my art to anywhere else at the moment so no other sosial media in use.

You'd probably get so many likes and comments if you maybe start Instagram or Snapchat. Or anything else like Twitter. But later when you have nothing to do, you should definitely! I love your art~
I kinda miss here too cuz of old friends. I still talk to 2 of them from like 3 or 4 years ago when I first came here. It's really cool.
I miss talking to alot of people like you for example, omg I remember us having a decent conversation.
But anyways, I hope you'll think about it, I'll support you every step of the way.

Hiya, I am fine, thank you for asking! Lots of work but luckily there are only couple of weeks until my summer vacation starts.
How are you doing?

Exhausted as usual.Β
Got a graphics drawing tablet recently, figured out how to use it but haven't done much beyond that with it yet.

Aww, sorry to hear that exhaustion is still there.
It has been little while from your comment; how are things with your new tablet? New artworks created with it?

If I knew that I would have told you how happy I was to see your art in my inbox again (instead of just faving and running). You're such master of drawing expressions!

Β Β I actually prefer when people hit and run. A couple of years inactivity and suddenly I have hundreds of unanswered comments/replies to go through. I feel awfully pressured by that. I try to answer a couple every day, but it's slow going. I feel like putting up a sign saying "PLEASE DON'T TALK TO ME!" except it would be a dick move since I do appreciate when people talk to me and it's not their fault that I'm so behind and catching up too slowly.Β Β It especially makes me happy when I see people I admire or like,Β that I remember from 'back in the days' faving my stuff. It's something that triggers me to want to do a full comebackΒ and inspires me to start drawing again.Β Β (People like yourself.)
Aw, thank you!Β Β As for my own style, I learned long ago that focusing on the expression rather than perfection is what works best for me to be happy with my art.Β Β It's more important to me to convey the feelings of the object than getting anatomy and perspective right, and if I could back and talk to my younger self, that's what I'd tell her. Not that my younger self would listen. She'd still be sitting there in piles of crumpled paper, driven to frustrated tears because she couldn't get something picture perfect. And I have her stubbornness to thank for a lot. So maybe I shouldn't go back and tell her that after all. (Yeah! Let her suffer! *evil laugh*Β Β )
Aaaanyway. Thanks for the warm welcome.Β Β

I know the feeling! I had lots of messages in my inbox when I came back from my hiatus and it took quite a while to go them through... must admit that I ended up deleting all the deviations and journals but I just needed to start fresh. I had a nasty feeling that I missed something very important by doing that but luckily the feeling is now gone. I guess people would have noted me if there were something I absolutely needed to see. So if those messages are slowing you down, just read them and let them go. They have served their purpose; the sender had wanted to say something to you and you have read it. (And remember that this comes from a person who is obsessed to reply all the comments... )
Happiness is great way to do it! I prefer expressions and style over realism but I still have long way to go to make my characters to show what I want them to show. So that's why it is always awesome to see your expressive characters; I not only enjoy those but also learn from them!
Oh and evil you to torture your younger self like that!
If I could go back I'd told my younger self that keep drawing at least something! I stopped drawing for many years (just doodled something on my study notes) because it has no purpose; I knew I wouldn't be making my living with art. But if I had realised how happy drawing makes me (not everything has to be useful and bring money) I would have kept drawing for fun. I am happy that I found this site which keeps inspiring me and I hope I will never loose drawing as a hobby again.
