lately I saw a tv show ... don't know anymore the title ... it was a game to runaway from a high police agency (played by true agents with all the usually used stuff and tactics) in a bigger area somewhere in the east USA for a couple of weeks
it was scary how easy you can be found just with the help of facebook ... even if you're NOT a member

it's one of the series where the two boys get caught, they are simply "surfing" from before unknown persons (two young boys asking on the beach and street mostly some girls), so the tactic is to use a more or less random direction from and to unknown persons, so that's really hard to ask "where will they go" or something like that.
But because they are too young boys, they thought "they will probably go around the beach in between young people" - "post this search on Facebook around these areas. Offer the usual money". And bam!Β here it was. After they left one group (or better said during they left) one girl answered. Now they still had a bit of luck with a older pair who brought them out onto the sea with a boat, but that didn't helped much. They flew around with helicopters and checked out that that area really good - no chance anymore.
And also really scarfing how fast that all worked.
and now to the reality: at the end it's "only" facebook and they just simply said something about the searched persons (whatever it may be) and offered something (how much or whatever); but the point is, they didn't even have to show a police, FBI, CIA or whatever mark - it worked. And now, don't forget: it's a World Wide web ... completely full with also (not just, but also) quite sick people ....
