The last scene with Loki made me just want to curl up to a foetal position and weep. I mean, a metal muzzle? Plus, he looked so apathetic, so empty about it. (or maybe my brain just did what it does the best: over-analysing)

Well, I noticed the way his eyes moved near the end. They weren't exactly the eyes of a defeated foe. I think the muzzle was there not just to make the fangirls squeal (or to keep him from using his silver tongue to escape or curse someone-he knows magic after all), but to probably hide his smirk.Personally, he just came to Earth to wreck havoc and have fun....in the end, he got to go home-with the Tesseract. Black Widow may have fooled him but the heroes went at each others' throats till they were distracted...He may have got what he wanted in the end after all.
