Hello there and welcome to dA!
Here are two articles I find really handy for newcomers:
A Guide To Connecting And Sharing On DAWhat's this all about?
DeviantArt is a HUGE website and it's easy to feel invisible, especially if you're new. The aim of this guide is to help you start connecting with other artists and their work as well as sharing your own art and encouraging feedback and interaction. It would be impossible to cover absolutely everything in one journal, so consider it a starting point and get ready to go exploring! I've included a few helpful links under each section, so you can use these as springboards to help you bounce around and find out more.

The first thing to do is stop thinking simply in terms of what you want to get. DA, like a lot of places on the web, is a social experience. I

Hello Alex, welcome to DeviantArt! I like your strive for improvement, keep the energy up!
By the way, your first digital painting is actually much better than my first was back in 2013
What tablet are you using?
Have you had a traditional art background before?

Thank you, very nice of you to say! Nice to hear back of people who've been at it for a while!
I've had a look at your work and I love your style, its also cool seeing how you've grown it over time too! really impressive stuff.Β
I studied art back in school and loved it but stupidly gave up when it came to college. Since then I have been drawing with graphite quite a bit but this was my first time in years I used colour.
I use an older Wacom Bamboo, that painting was done in Sketchbook Pro but I'm currently trying to get to grips with Photoshop too.Β
