Earlier today, I got me a random hankerin' to do some research on the history of Everett. I don't know why I've never been curious about it before. I found some very interesting information, particularly with regard to an event called the "Everett Massacre". I had never even heard of such a thing! I can't believe I've lived here for two thirds of my life without knowing anything about the place. You should look at this: [link]

That type of history is so interesting to me, as well as genealogy. Did you know, the Myricks have been in Snohomish since before Washington was a state?
My dad's great uncle, Lon Myrick, was a bootlegger during prohibition, and Lon's brother Jim was sheriff of Snohomish. If the police were raiding, Jim would arrive to the scene first and yell "Hide your hooch!" As a result, Lon was never caught bootlegging.
I bet your family has some really interesting history. You should research it.

There's a six-legged spider that lives in my room for the past three weeks, and I've been looking everywhere online to try to figure out what kind of spider it is, but all to no avail. I suppose it could simply be one of evolution's inevitable mutations. I've looked very closely and its obvious that it never had eight legs.. the six legs are spaced symmetrically. Wow. What a rant. And I'm sure you find the six-legged spider in my room absolutely mindblowing...
