The Showgrounds where Melbnova and Manifest are held is a bit far away from everything. Best would be to book somewhere close to the city then catch the tram or the special train they sometimes organise for the convention. Not sure which places are good to stay since I live here lol but I've asked a few interstate friends where they stay, so I'll let you know once they've replied.

Ohh lucky! You live right in the city or do you drive in? I don't live in Sydney myself but my boyfriend lives about a 45 minute drive away so we just stay at his place and drive in XD Except for Supanova, which is held at an awesome but ridiculously located place XD

I live close to the tram that goes to the con but unless they organise the extra trams I usually drive because they fill up very quickly.

In terms of where to stay all my friends say anywhere in the city that fits your budget XD I know it doesn't help much but it's true though because the tram that takes you to the showground is ridiculously easy to get to (but will take you 30 minutes or so) but if they organise the train it is much much quicker (and its a train full of cosplayers!) and that's easy to get to in the city as well.

Will see if my interstate friends have any recommendations for specific hotels though and will keep you posted.

Maybe the Saturday? That usually seems to be the biggest day of every con XD
