haha, this is a suuuuper late reply, but... yup.

Of course i remember you! It was funny seeing you the other day - it made me realize how long it's been. It's good to hear from you! I haven't really been doing art recently... which is kind of sad. I want to get a little bit more back into it, though! I do miss it. How'd your AP stuff go? (are you guys doing a two-year sort of thing now? did i hear that right?)

It was certainly a surprise to see you! Well, I guess it shouldn't have been, seeing as that Carrie is your sister... my mind doesn't really make those sorts of logical deductions very quickly. What wasn't surprising, though, was that you were smiling. Always smiling that Ambo-smile...

As a fellow artist, I highly approve of you getting back into art. Art is a fabulous thing, and your photomanipulations were so meticulously well done, and your fantastic photographs... yeah, you should definitely do some art-sy things. Give your mind some play time.

Yes, we are operating on a two-year system. It's fantastic. I was already stressed trying to complete one art piece per TWO weeks; I can't imagine how panicked I would be if I had to complete one art piece per ONE week.
To be honest, I wasn't really satisfied with most of my pieces this year... I think it was because I tried to become a sort of artist that I'm not. Going out of your comfort zone is a good thing, but sometimes it's a scary place... I think next year, I'm going to stick with drawing what I want to draw, rather than what I think people want me to draw. But even if I'm not too happy with my art this year, I think the experimentation was very helpful for me.

HAA, yep, it's been ages. And now i'm graduated again..! So strange. The time has flown by - college is a fantastic experience, so be excited for that. Definitely did a lot of that going-out-of-your-comfort-zone in a lot of ways, stepping into new risks and opportunities, and i'm very happy i did. I'm moving off to Portland in the fall for a one-year internship with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, so i'm soaking up my last few weeks here in Washington. And hopefully some art will come out of it!

What is it that you want to draw? (maybe i should look up what you've been posting - you'll probably be getting a few views and comments soon. I'm trying to catch up on my inbox, which i've neglected for quite a while...... hahaaaa)

Hahah... there's a lot of things I want to draw, none of it stuff I would do for AP Art. I'd like to do more life drawing - figures, animals, the environment. I've been forcing myself to do more drawing from observation - not from a photograph - mostly so I can prepare to apply for various art schools, and I've found that it's rather fun. I also need to get working on some concept art for this webcomic idea I've been developing for the last couple of months. Oh, and I'll be taking a class outside of I.S. at a local school called DigiPen where I'll be learning animation, so I'll be doing a lot of storyboarding and what-not for that, I'm sure.

hmm. 50x50, and it can't be over 15 KB. i remember having issues with that too...i think the image was the right size, but the file was still too big...
