That's as good a reason as any. Have I asked what class you typically play yet? I'm sorry. I have so much going on right now, I seem to be forgetting things all over the place. Please forgive me.

Heh, you wouldn't think it when I have two mages as my canon for the DA worldstate, but I'm typically the archer. Being able to sneak up and assassinate things is a plus.
Except, when it comes to DA2. I adore CarverΒ too much to let him die... or become a templar.

I.... Don't dislike Carver, but, he always ends up dead in my play throughs. I don't exactly have a canon class. I have a canon character for each class. Though my first and most apparent in my fan work is my warrior Xeress Allora. However, I know what you mean about going rogue. In Skyrim, another game 8 absolutely adore, my main and canon character so far is a Kajiit named Imari, and she's a freelance assassin. Mainly hunts thieves and bandits. And it's epic to snipe people from a distance or sneak up and silence them from behind. Saves you a whole lot of noise and trouble.
So, why is mage canon then?

Oh I started as a rogue in Origin, dual wielding, then warrior, then archer. At my fourth go through, with a mage, I kind of grew fond of him... way fonder than my previous characters. He's sort of stuck around and gained so much backstory, which didn't quite fit with the current world, that I built a whole new one for him to get messed up in (in fact, I'm currently writing that story).
When it came to Hawke, I went through as a rogue first, but I felt the whole storyline fit better when she was a mage. I did first complete DAI as a mage, elven... to romance Solas, but I like my current Quizzy (a devout human archer) far better.
