demotivators are MADE from art that is not the artists... the motivators are myde by the artists to their own art... it's my ideas that change the art/photos/whatever of others to my own piece...

Und das ändert nichts daran, dass du Bilder von anderen ohne deren Erlaubnis verwendest. Wenn ich Harry Potter abtippe und "Harry" durch "Kurt" ersetze, habe ich immer noch gestohlen und es macht mich nicht zum Besitzer der Harry Potter Bücher.
Wie wäre es, wenn du die Teile mit deinen eigenen Bildern machst und die Bilder nicht vorher von jemand anderes klaust Oo

Your ideas? Parodies of motivational posters were not your idea. Adding a caption to someone else's image does not make it your personal property. At best, it's what's called a derivative work, and it is not entitled to copyright protection, but distinctly subject to copyright liability.

There is no originality in your demotivationals.

Demotivationals are simply images of that sort that have a demotivating message.

It is entirely possible to use an inspiring picture and message you found someplace else, put it into that format, and call it a motivational--and it would be, because it's motivating.

It's also entirely possible to take a picture and message of your own work that is demotivating, put it into that format, and call it a demotivational--and it would be, becasue it's demotivational.


The idea of demotivationals has expanded to encompass things that aren't exactly demotivating, but are humorous in nature.

However, it is still fully possible to take a funny picture that is your own work/a photo you yourself took and combine it with a message you come up with, put it into that format, and call it a funny demotivational image, and that would be true--for it is funny, and fits withing the expanded concept of demotivational images people have on the Internet.


By your logic, this is a motivational image, despite having nothing motivational about it, simply because I took the photo myself and did not take something from another person.

this site is for your own art. demotivators are made from taking someone else's art and putting a black border and words around it. just editing or crediting doesn't make it yours. if you want to share demotivators, post them somewhere else.

a very long time a was very lazy and never ever did anything other than copying pix i liked from random artists.....
about 3 months ago a had sort of a epiphany...
i myself am an author (well hobbywise and fanfictioncrazy but still) and i really liked reading the work of others....

But authors and artists are so much alike, (and after some fellow authors really got through to my heart by telling me how much my reviews were worth to them) that i startet to throughfully review art that i found interesting..

It may be but a few words, but they're coming from my heart and i always told it to people and will continue in doing it...:
"It's just right to comment on great art and to say that you like it..."

I like your pictures and the feelings i discover while watching at some of them are truly inspirating....
