yea that's what its called lots of fun and can get some great results. I would advise anyone that hasn't given it a go to try it loads of tutorials on youtube and on here as well

High dynamic range is what it stands for, Basically you take 3 shots at different exposures for example 10th,20th and 30th of a second, in one shot all your highlights will be correctly exposed in another your mid tones and the last your shadows then you use a program like either photoshop or photomatix to merge the 3 shots into one that gives you an image that is correctly exposed from the brightest area to the darkest
This is a very basic explanation and if you want to try it there are heaps of tutorials on youtube and I'm always willing to help out

Nope no filters needed I see you use a 600D if you know how to use your AEB (bracketing) in your menu its even easier to get the photos then you just need photoshop cs4 or higher or photomatix to blend the images I prefer photomatix for my blending then I save as a tiff and finish in photoshop cs5

Its in your menu its so you can set your camera to take 3 bracketed shots (do you know what I mean by bracketed?)

yea that's what the AEB thing is
What i do is ... shoot in aperture priority, Set AEB to +/- 1
set white balance to anything except auto, 100 ISO, f anything you like
use the timer to avoid shake
use a tripod
click click click
whack them on your comp
Open bridge select all 3 shots
In the top menu go to tools - photoshop - merge to hdr
Then go to youtube and watch a tutorial for the rest (I don't use photoshop for hdr so not sure how to explain the rest)
Any problems just ask

Ill defs try that!! thank you, but when you shoot with AEB do you change it at all? eg, one photo is +/- 1 and then one photo is +/- 3 etc

you can but I'd just do the 3 shots @ +/-1ev for a start you can do as many shots as you like to get better detail I use 5 sometimes and have heard of up to 8 being used
