I live in the beautiful Sonoran desert of Arizona. My town of Scottsdale is extremely art oriented. There are hundreds of galleries about a mile away from my house. It's beautiful here year round. Right now I'm finding inspiration in the blooming flowers of fall.

Yes, I am so very lucky to live here. Arizona is wonderful, beautiful year round, even in the heat. Going out to the McDowell's today to see what's blooming. The winds finally died down. A poor friend of my husband was out for a walk in the wind and something hit him in the back. He couldn't reach it and asked his wife to look. It was a cholla cactus!!! It hit him in the 60 mph winds and they have no cholla in their neighborhood. haha

I'm glad your Mother is fine, but we had trouble this week. My mother (82 yrs old fell and broke her knee and when she was in the hospital, she was so thin and old that she couldnt take the pain and developed congestive heart failure and "crossed over" on Tuesday. I'll write you later and tell what I am feeling. Its quite a story...............jack

Thank you so much for the nice comment. No, I havent tried to do any rabbits yet, but you never know, :-) (Smile) I have many roses though. They are really fun to do. Mine usually are done with at least 9 shades of red. I think you can see some on that old photo of the humming birds. I know the photo was dark, but that's when my hummers come round here, very late in the day. I know hummers never eat from roses either, but I wanted to make roses so I did....Thanks for your kindness. I truly appreciate it!

Have a llama, my friend.....jss (call me jack) I'm in Tucson. Sorry my photographic skills are not up to par, but I'm a sculptor and that where my energy goes. I am also totally disabled with post polio, and I'm still trying get well from a heart attack and several strokes from emergency by pass surgery a couple of years ago. I still cannnot walk, write, draw, paint or much of anything else. Luckily I can still sculpt. Nice to meet you...jack
