Also notice I didn't delete the journals. I suck at getting rid of old writing. Notoriously. :hearts: If you ever want any of the old stuff, for whatever reason, I have every single piece saved on my computer. Except for the writing about Jacqui, because that hostility is gone for good. But why would you want that, anyway?

Nope! I wish, but it just takes too much effort to take care of it. @3@ It was pink, but now it's blonde and pink. It'll prolly be pink again soon, though. XD I like pink best.

I was sewing at his house last night, and he was working on quotes, and started talking about this amazingly sweet commissioner who had been australia training marine animals.

I was all "ZOMG WAIT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT TAZZY?" And he looked at me with a completely bewildered look and said "..Yeah, actually!" And I got all excited. X3

We've been friends for a couple years! :3 We did a KH skit at a con a couple years ago. I was Hayner and he was Roxas.

Yup, Fanime is at the end of May. So much work to do! But it'll be great. It's my favorite con, by far.

I had no idea you cosplayed until you commented on my Komugi post, though! Niftaaay! What costumes have you done?

I have not cosplayed for about 4 years
I kinda stopped watching anime for a point in time *gasp*, and it wasn't until two years ago that i went to an anime convention again that I was like, "holy hell ... why did i stop doing this?"

Of coarse, when I used to cosplay, it was all like, really simple desgins that my aunt helped me with, because I can't sew well at all .... because I never bothered to learn properly.
I was Sakura in a school uniform one year *rolls eyes*, Rabi en Rose (that I am re-making at the moment), and Satoshi from pokemon (when i was like ... 13 lol ... i love Satoshi) ;_;

I now see cosplay in a whole new light, as this wonderful art form that I never really understood back then. So ya, i'm currently tackling a Barasuishou (from rozen maiden) costume on my own .... but i really can't sew. XD So we'll see how it goes.
So, i'm not really a true blue cosplayer ... cause I will probably end up commissioning people for many of my costumes. Especially for costumes with scary fabric like stretch vinyl ... which is where your lovely friend comes in to play ;D

I have so much respect for people who create cosplay costumes. Its such a wonderful hobby!
Can i move in with you, and you can teach my how to make pretty costumes? :<

So, i'm still a cosplay newbie for sure... just not a cosplay virgin, for lack of a better term.




Oh, and by the by .....
there is this little glimmer of hope that I may be packing up my bags and drving down to Anime Expo this summer. Will you be there? If so, we should try to coordinate a super mashup of global Komugi cuteness!!!!! XD

Unfortunately, no. The Fanime masq is huge, there are already 80+ entries. I'll be cheering a lot of my friends on, though!

I'm with you on the non-sewing thing. Nearly all of my costumes were made by friends. My old Sora and Selphie costumes were made by Rikku, as well- and my friends did most of my others. I helped in all the ways that I could, but I didn't trust my own craftsmanship as far as sewing. This one (Iron Mouse) is the first time I've ever sewn anything ever. XD But it came out well! I'm surprised! I mean, a lot of my seams are crappy, but. XD At least it fits and stays together!

Ha ha! We all have our early costumes. Funnily enough, my first costume was Kero-chan. Let's just say I hope nobody digs up those photos. XD Aww, I love Rabi~en! She's adorable. As do I love Satoshi. I almost cosplayed him last year, but then my group fell apart. :<

I don't know if my craftsmanship is quite the sort you want to learn off of. XD But if you choose to move in, I'll be sure to have Riks over and he can show you all he knows! My girlfriend is a talented seamstress, too. But she makes plushies more than costumes. ( ~juumou ). She used to cosplay a lot more, now she only does original designs.

Oh, Expo?! I'm actually not going this year, cause it's in a really bad area. XD; But if you go, I could drive down and we could hang out for a bit! LA is not far from my summer home. :3

Oh really? I thought you made all your costumes! Not that it matters ...cosplay, after all, is the act of wearing costumes, not necessarily making them ^_^
I like to help in all the ways that I can as well, and really be a part of the creation process as much as possible.
Congrats on your Iron Mouse costume! Yes, as long as it stays together ... thats a good thing.

Oooo cool! About your girlfriend doing original designs. How cool would that be, to transfer a character into reality. And holy moly, her pokemon plushies ... are ... amazing &_&
OMG another coincidence ... i've run into this ( [link] ) plush of her's several times on DA, and have always been like, "I WANT THAT!!".

Fanime used to be small, it's been getting bigger every year!

I like wearing costumes reguardless of whether I make them or not! There's nothing wrong with wearing a costume somebody else made! I've had fun making it as well, though! And I'm also making a Nidorina gijinka as well, I'm hand-dreading a wig for it! *-* So much fun!

Man, I'm so glad PPP is finally online, and that we're getting positive feedback for it! It took us ages to get all that info together! It was worth it, though!

Yeah, it's in a really shoddy part of LA, blocks and blocks from food and hotels. Which, for a con, is difficult to manage, cause there's a lot of walking around at night and whatnot. It's gang territory and stuff. I don't know anybody who's going, actually.. which is saying something because I know a lot of cosplayers who go to Expo every year. I went for years, myself. It's a bummer that they're holding it in such a bad neighborhood.

Fanime's turning into the new Expo. XD It's my favorite con. One of the few I still go to. Lame, though, cause if you don't go, there's no chance for us to hang out. D: Unless you wanted to come for some other reason! :33333
