Hi , yes i have some recording equipment but just few things , a microphone and a mixer,for multitrack recording i use Adobe Audition ,i use a Hohner acoustic guitar .

Do you need a good quality microphone to get the good sound? I remember once people told me that Adobe Audition is good for audio editing and remastering, such as tranfering a mono track to stereo or even 3D surround sound, but the source file (original recording)has to be in complete and good order or else we wouldn't get the expected result. Is that true?

A cheap internet microphone records all the sounds in the room ( in the background),but a uni-directional microphone records only your voice.(doesn't have to be expensive for a home recording ).When i make a song cover i record all tracks separately ,first i record rhythm guitar.I play that track and record the voice.Later i can add solo guitar , bass or other instruments.The main advantage in multitrack recording is that you can edit each instrument ,remove background hiss noise ,add effects.If the original recording is very low quality there's noting much to do in adobe audition or other programs to improve it.If you make a channel on youtube invite me to friends , would love to see your videos my friend

Thanks for the info. In fact I used to do some experiment of voice and guitar sound recording using the microphone attached to my headphone but I always suffer from noise and disturbance as the microphone is too sensitve. The disturbance was just so annoying but I see there is no way I can prevent them as I can't expect my family members or the entire neighborhood to keep their mouth completly shut. Do you have to consider the noise generated by your surrounding or do you have to work out in a completely sound-proof interior? Is there any solution?

You can record in your room , you just need to buy uni-directional microphone from some music store .If you post your songs somewhere i would love to listen them.Best wishes from Romania

oh yes. I saw a lot of Amurg Aprins in youtube, are they all the same you? Are you a professional singer? I've watched some of the videos, the sound quality is just nice. What kind of software you used for editting those videos?
