Β I prefer Phoenix with Iris because they were dating each other for 8 months, and even after everything that happened, with Iris acting like Dahlia in front of Phoenix when they dated, at the end of Trials and Tribs, she was telling him how he didn't take his eyes off of her!
I don't prefer Maya and Phoenix because after Mia died, I feel that Phoenix was an older-brother figure to Maya. Not to mention the two of them denied being special someones.
Oh! And I just remembered! In case 5 of Trials and Tribs, when Edgeworth acts as a defense attorney and visits Iris in the detention center, he tells her how she meant something to Phoenix, and that he meant something to her too. And he even promised to win the trial so that she and Phoenix could see each other again.
I mean, from that, I am so sure that if Edgeworth was a helper, he would definitely be preferring Phoenix and Iris.
