Anglican. I think that's something I might want to associate myself with. I love how it's so open and spiritual. I'm really considering it (and joining this group xD) but I want to do a little more research around it before I do anything.
Lovely group, by the way. c: It has many very beautiful pictures!

Hello! As admin of the DACatholic club, I am very happy to know that there is an Angelican club and that I pray that the rest of our admins are very interested in the affiliatin.
Historically there has always been some bitter rivalry between the churches and I believe it is very unfortunate as we believe in the same principles for the most part. Hopefully this decision may bring deviantART Christians of all sects closer together!

God bless!

Thanks again for the new !
No,I am not anglican, but am a Christian, who love people from all walks of life.
I belong to the Seventh-day Adventist church, who holds the Bible as the only rule of faith and standard. Reason being, I personally do not put tradition on an equal stance with the Word.
I am very intrigued by church buildings,(I study architecture)so I will pop by for a look at your galeries once in a while.
Thanks again!

Some would say....the Bible was compiled and canonized by the Church, hence Word is Tradition!
Just food for thought
Good luck with your studies! Do drop by again

Interesting viewpoint.. but should the standard of the ORIGINAL Word then be changed as the world and tradition changes? Where would one then find absolute truth on which to base doctrine and moral standing?
If everything is relative, what can we then stand for?
Just thinking some more..

I can only speak for the Anglican tradition where, "Nothing may be taught that is contrary to Scripture."
Of course, what constitutes "contrary to Scripture" is a matter of interpretation. Hence the thousands of denominations, each with a unique interpretation.
I don't think absolute truth may be found anywhere but with God, who is absolute love in the person of Jesus. Sadly, this fracturing of his Church which began in the 16th century will continue until Christ's return. Until then, all we can do is

That's good to know
I do feel however that nobody should have to interpret it -
for scripture interprets itself - See 2 Peter 1:20 / 2 Timothy 3:16
Amen brother/sister - Christ IS truth (John 14:6)
and He never changes! (Malachi 3:6)
We all need to pray for one another,
standing at the frontlines of the battle for truth
